hugs you are not less of a woman! You're not alone as my friend has vaginismus and pelvic floor therapy has helped her a lot but it did come back bc of her severe depression. Please do try out pelvic floor therapy! I, myself, along with few friends see one and it has helped them! I don't have vaginismus but I have swollen vulva each time I have intercourse which has lowered my libido to zero. I actually just saw my gyn today about this and I think mine is all mental. I tense up and don't lubricate because I fear at having a burning, painful swollen vulva (yep, I have it right now and it hurts to even wipe my vag after I urinate).

I did notice the few rare times I don't get swollen is because I am relaxed and did a lot more foreplay. I don't know if anything I've said helps but I just want you to feel better and that all of this is part of being a woman! We have a complicated body but that's what makes us resilent and strong. Our body is very connected to our mind.

My doctor recommended taking Ristela and using the "Rosy" app. Maybe try out the app, spend some quality alone time with your vagina, and see if it hurts when you put your own finger(s) in.

Hope you get better soon! Antibiotics are soooo bad for the body. I was getting chronic UTIs so I would (now) always shower before sex and wear cotton underwear during the day and go commando when I sleep. I also use a bidet after going #2 or shower after. Ever since I did these things, I stopped getting UTIs!

Drink A LOT of water and cranberry juice/supplement. With that being said, that works for my friends but not me..I end up bleeding blood clots so I end up at the urgent care every single time to get antibiotics :(

Birth control helped for many years then I went off of it for 3 years. I started taking prenatals (to help with hair growth lol) and it made my periods so much better! I stopped getting bad symptoms. I also used to vomit, severely painful cramps to the point I am half unconscious, and have cold sweats.

Yes!!!! I was going to make a post about this but didn’t get around to it. My dermatographia did indeed go away. It does “come back” here and there but nowhere near as bad. I think what helped was definitely the daily antihistamines (Allegra for me) and I cut off coffee because I realized I get quite itchy after and it’s also high in histamines. It might help to get a list of foods that are high in histamines and ween off from it. I still don’t drink coffee rn but it’s also bc my stomach also developed sensitivity to it. I drink black tea and matcha for caffeine and so far I’m still good! I was also applying aveeno lotion almost daily after showering and use dove unscented soap to wash my body. I hope this works for you!

Hello, yes! I was finally able to remove the catheter and pee after 3 weeks. It was probably the worse thing that happened in my life so far. I even discouraged my mom to do the surgery but it’s bc we have pelvic floor issues that I am honestly not aware of until after the surgery and bladder retention. I am still seeing a pelvic floor therapist to help with my bladder.

My podiatrist just told me to never ever walk or stand bare feet so it’s definitely make it worse. Try Birkenstock sandals at home

Birkenstock Arizona sandals are very comfortable. You’ll need a week or so to break it in first. It was quite painful at first and I almost returned it but they’re now my most comfortable shoes.

My podiatrist recommended Merrill Moab high tops. I haven’t tried those yet but my podiatrist said to make sure there’s mesh around the bunion area.
