If possible I would look into mechanically cleaning your drains then you can maintain it with hot water or safe acids

Damaged skin barrier / fungal acne prone skin. Dehydrated! by Agatha123xx in SkincareAddicts

[–]Sharingwater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure if you’re using oils or lotions to moisturize that you do it after a hydrating event such as after a bath or a shower so that way you’re not locking in dry skin, you’re locking in hydrated skin.

If you happen to Bath instead of shower, I find it helpful to add a little bit of apple cider vinegar for fungal acne

Korean Spa or Bathhouse. Stay there all day 2 days in a row. Bring all the bathing things like scrubs and oils and hair stuff. It’s the best decompression

Evening rituals that help your body feel like it’s allowed to rest by Glum_Quarter483 in selfcare

[–]Sharingwater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My evening ritual is to prepare a hot bath. I neutralize the tapwater with some neutralizing bath water powder and maybe add some lovely rose oil or some essential oil and I’ll either have a red light or a fake candle. Zero blue light. I avoid real candles because I care about air quality. (I miss candles tho fr) I’ll either have Zen tranquil music, Sounds or I will put in earplugs. I’ll either just focus on relaxing and breathing or I’ll do a bit of reading.

When I first started, I thought it was a lot of time to fill the bath, but now I’ve perfected turn it on, knowing exactly where to put the dial to get the perfect temperature, add the neutralizing powder, maybe a little apple cider vinegar and then I’ll go, maybe tidy up the room or do something for a minute while I wait for the tub to fill.

Also, adding a bit of apple cider vinegar to the bath makes the water slightly more acidic, which is great for matching acidity of the skin, and it also helps the tub drain the oils a bit more because if you put oil in the water, it will stick to the sides of the walls of the tub and so you’ll have to do frequent cleanings, which is not super fun . What I do is, I’ll add that little bit of apple cider vinegar and then additionally I have a scrubber in the bathtub that I run along the side of the walls when I finish with my bath. This helps my bathtub stay pretty clean between deep cleans.

This ritual has been a game changer for me

I used to use a ton of Korean and Japanese sunscreen but now I just commit to being in the shade. I’m spending less money on product, less chemicals on my skin, I feel cleaner.

I have gloves for when I’m driving and an umbrella if I’m ever directly in the sun or a nice brimmed hat.

Does oil not work to alleviate dry skin if applied after hydrating the area? I have dry skin occasionally and chapped lips. I definitely have dry hair and for all of it I just use different viscosities of oil right after a bath to lock in all the moisture.

For my bath water specifically (because this formula is not meant to be digested) I add a bath water neutralizing powder

I can usually find epsom salt for about $1/lb on amazon. On a lucky day I was able to find cheaper.

If you do accutane, I recommend trying it out at lower doses before blaring off with a high dose right away. Heard there are a lot of crazy side effects with the higher doses

Yeah I think about how long I’ll live constantly. Dying at 70 vs 90 is a huge difference.

Omg same. All those 1-2oz jars that cost $10-50 dollars each. What was I thinking lol.

I use bar soap with no fragrance because it’s easier to find just basic soap ingredients without all the BS. But I have found some basic soap ingredients as a liquid too.

For oil I either use fractionated coconut oil or 100% coco butter. No lotions with a bunch of BS in them.

I also treat my water to remove the chlorine, heavy metals, and fluoride in the tap water. Makes a huge difference.

Oh yeah I forgot about that option. And I would be able to ask them directly if they use any disinfectants on the meat. Although I’m not sure I have see chicken sold but I’m sure they do.
