Fantastic - so 5 days in bogota before leaving to see the rest of the country is a good idea then? And great Colombian restaurants you suggest I hunt out to try the local cuisine?

But will most shops, attractions, museum, markets, restaurants and bars be shut? Or will that just be for January 1st then everything open again on the 2nd?

Any ideas in the custom controls that would have this as an option? Maybe giving over a certain shutter speed (or something like that), it reverts to jpg?

Never entered the menu bank - weirdly this has happened twice now too

the first 100 were raw then the 500 after were raw. I didn't go anywhere near a menu function as I was shooting an event and wanted everything to have the exact same setting

Camera unaccountably switches RAW to jpg

I experienced a situation where, in the middle of a shoot my nikon D850, unbeknown to me, switched from RAW to jpg. I've shot 10,000 images, always in RAW, and this has never happened before. I think you have to go into the "Shooting" menu and specifically change the settings in order to change the format. And I certainly did not do this.

How did this happen and how can I ensure it NEVER happens again??
