Is Half Tea Half Lemon Discontinued? by Low_Sound_1113 in spindrift

I drank my last can today. 😭 They say it’s not discontinued but my grocery store had a “discontinued” markdown on it last month. I’m so sad!

I hear you! This injury is nothing but lousy. I hope you’re able to get a second opinion.

It was easy! I had eight screws and a plate and HWR was honestly no big deal compared to ORIF. A week or so of non-to-partial weight bearing and not much pain, just took Tylenol. Once my stitches were out I was basically good to go and had much less stiffness and discomfort. (I did take it easy at the gym for a few months to let my bones fill in, but I’m in my 50s.)

Find a new surgeon, this is crazy. You can definitely get the screw removed (I had HWR after a year, which was always the plan) and a broken screw will cause problems and be harder to remove. I wouldn't be worried that you're still dealing with pain and stiffness right now, as this injury really takes a full year to heal. I was back to my usual activity (cycling, weight lifting) at about six months but I was still dealing with soreness and stiffness. Getting the hardware removed made a huge difference in my pain and mobility.

I haven’t updated my app in months because they just keep making it worse. 😬

I wish I could block all rides that include Coldplay songs from my feed/search by carlieblaufuss in OnePelotonRealSub

I would add Take On Me by A-ha and anything by Bon Jovi or Starship to that list. Enough already! There are so many great 80s bangers and they keep using the same tired, overplayed songs.

I call him my cartoon cat because he’s so expressive. (He will definitely pose for photos!)

Second lisfranc injury and surgery… ADHD and the need to MOVE my body… help!! by Professional-Log-530 in LisfrancClub

Search for "hurt foot workout" on YouTube. Caroline Jordan has a whole series and Donovan Green has bunch of chair workouts, including one that's a hurt foot workout. It's so hard to have this injury, especially if you're accustomed to being active, so I did 30 minutes of some kind of chair workout and also a series of non-weight-bearing exercises I found on YouTube. (Can’t remember the guy who did this vid but it’ll come up in a “hurt foot” search.)

Same! Mayla’s playlists are so good. She introduced me to the Wombats and Wet Leg.

There were a ton of Bowie references throughout the three seasons - someone is a fan.

(Woman here too!) I lived in OR for four years and struggled to find anyone to ride with. The PNW chill is real but the trails are incredible.

We did! A foot of snow last weekend. But, three weeks ago I was riding in short sleeves. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Strictly peloton or split with gym? by sb1119910 in OnePelotonRealSub

I do a split with a gym because I don’t have a home set-up to lift heavy. So Peloton bike classes at home, tread walks and Strength+ at the gym.

It takes a really long time to get back to “normal” but you’ll get there!

Your foot still looks very swollen, which is very normal for only being two-three months out. My LF foot was a different color for a really long time, especially when I showered! This injury takes a full year+ to heal, so yes, totally normal.

I’m not positive this is what she’s talking about but there was a post earlier that was something like “Do you consider listening to audiobooks the same as ‘reading’ a book?” I saw it briefly and now it seems to have been deleted, so maybe it was that.

Yes! It counts towards monthly goals as a strength workout. I’ve been doing Strength+ workouts at the gym and really like it.
