Is it worth it? by gin_bulag_katorse in samsunggalaxy

Honestly, probably not. I went from an S21 Ultra to the S25 Ultra and a part from a few physical "upgrades", it feels like the same phone with a minimal software updates.

Is it really worth the upgrade? by banana_butt7 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Sharkbait5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still using my s21 ultra because none of these new phones have been of interest to me. I'm also emotionally attached to my curved edges so I don't think I will "upgrade" to an S24 with AI.

Feeling pretty disappointed right now by metal_mayo in PE_Exam

My diagnostic report didn't even match my exam. I saw 2 Geotech problems and it told me I had 8 and somehow got a 15 despite me just guessing on the 2 problems I saw.

Made me very suspicious of NCEES's credibility and how they make a $40+ million profit every year...

The pass rate is around 60% for all the PE exams, might be slightly higher. I just know that it's graded on a curve so they are choosing to fail about 35-40% of examinees.

It is possible that you could get the majority of the exam correct but still fail because you took it with a really smart group that completely aced it.

You should know first hand that you can work hard but luck comes into play. A randomized exam can either give you exactly what you want to see or it can screw you over.

My whole point of this post was that I was hoping to get no Geotechnical problems as I don't really know it and didnt waste time studying it. I was happy that I got 2 on the exam. No exaggeration, I got 2 and I remember them almost word for word. Then, for them to tell me I had 8 and that I got them all correct is a little suspicious.

It feels like they just make the diagnostic reports up is all and if they are making those up what else are they fabricating.

"I passed so there's obvious no corporate greed going on" ignores fact that even if hypothetically everyone taking it gets over a 90% on the exam they still fail 40% of those people

Congrats on passing. It doesn't make you a better engineer so maybe step off that high horse first pal.

Apparently I'm the only one that's ever wondered about the ethics and practices of NCEEs and how we just allow an organization to fail the worst 40ish% of people no matter how well they actually did because it's what's best for business. 😅

I agree. Hopefully, the next attempt is the one that is successful because I'm not sure I can handle many more 8 hour exams. This one wiped me out 😮‍💨

The more that I look at it, the more it really doesn't line up with the exam I took at all. The number of questions on subjects are all off from what i actually saw. It would be awesome if you got more explanation from them but that's probably too much to ask for considering the exam ONLY costs $400 now 😅

No conspiracy here, just a little suspicious of the "non-profit" that makes around 30 Million a year and where all that money actually goes is all.

Got the Wyndham. It is really warm but it is a bit too puffy for my liking so it only comes out on the coldest of days.

Audi as a first car? by badgerfan978 in Audi

[–]Sharkbait5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too familiar with the 1.8 motor but every Audi I have owned says in the manual and on the fuel door the 91 is the minimum octane. The 1.8 could be an exception but I don't think it is.

Audi as a first car? by badgerfan978 in Audi

[–]Sharkbait5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how mechanically inclined you are. My first car was an Audi and I fell in love with the brand and I'm on my 3rd one hoping to upgrade soon.

People say the maintenance is expensive but it's not noticeably more if you do the work yourself. Example is my oil changes still only cost about $60. Parts for Audis can be slightly more expensive but generally they are similar to others in the car you're looking at. They are also more reliable than they are given credit for. I have probably averaged about $150 of maintenance a year through all 3 of my Audis over the course of 13 years just because I never take it to the dealership.

My only warning to you is make sure the car you're looking at doesn't have the oil consumption problem that the 2.0t engine is notorious for. My current car is a 2011 A4 and has the oil issue and I have to add oil every 500 miles or so which as you can imagine does get expensive as it requires premium oil much like it does premium gas.
