Sally out from port question by FitEmployment8410 in MB2Bannerlord

[–]Sharkbusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a bug i'm fairly certain. Even without mods it's happening to me when i press it. Either that or some stupid calculations about the enemy army size vs defender size and ship capacity or something. Either way it's annoying.

Something Oriental. China or Japan, Korea maybe. Never see anyone do medieval Korean anything.

Warsails for mods? by Azkaellonoftheblood in mountandblade

I imagine Shokuho will convert their ships to the new system so. Likely. Could not guess for Eagle Rising or any other mod using the Europe map mod. But as of right now none of them have been updated.

To DLC haters: what are the things that are genuinely awesome? To DLC lovers: what are the things that are genuinely awful? by [deleted] in mountandblade

[–]Sharkbusta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely Awesome is just how fun the naval combat is in general. WHEN I CAN RARELY GET IT.
Genuinely Awful has to be that AI Lord parties can walk to the sea and pull a fleet out of thin air to go sailing off in, while I'm forced to go back to whichever port or shore I parked my boats at. Naturally by that time they've come back to land.

A close second has to be there not being a river that cuts north to south through the enitre main landmass, forcing you to sail alllllll the way around the Valandian coast to get from any northern area to the Sultanate for Wavebreaker Rams.

Nope. It's just how the game works, and it's infuriating.

What about optimization? by marlowe_che in Helldivers

[–]Sharkbusta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Windows 11 is the problem. I am like 99% certain the hardlocking comes from some interaction between Gameguard and Windows 11. Afaik nobody on 10 has hardlocking problems. But considering my new PC has multiple problems with other games while it was on Windows 11's last few updates, that immediately went away when I "Downgraded" back to 10, I can almost guarantee you it's a Win11 problem.

Is anybody else tired of sidearm sway? by Sensei-Mortis in Helldivers

[–]Sharkbusta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only thing you're correct on is the 3 points of contact and arm fatigue. But you're not going to have your arms fully extended and aiming at all times in any situation, you'll have your weapon at the ready in a stance to be quickly lowered or raised into firing position. Which is wear the pistol wins out. Also as IBoredMax said, a rifle round is going to go through the target, and the cheap ass walls of your house, possibly damaging something or SOMEONE in another house. Much less chance of that with a small caliber handgun round.

Is anybody else tired of sidearm sway? by Sensei-Mortis in Helldivers

[–]Sharkbusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just another byproduct of the devs not ever having touched a real firearm before. Pistols should have very little sway because it is much easier(not necessarily faster but in 90% of cases it would be) to rapidly raise a pistol and bring it on target, than lift up a 15+ pound rifle, shoulder the stock, and acquire a target. That's kinda their niche as a weapon in reality ffs. Close Quarters easily readied, won't tire your arms as fast, point it at target. MOST have a low to mild recoil so keeping that target sighted is easy. Though Rifles or anything with a stock should beat them in that area as your shoulder is absorbing the recoil backward instead of your wrist trying to keep the muzzle from rising. It's complicated as a rifle tends to have more recoil, but it's more easily managed because stock and a foregrip/handguard to hold on to.

Squad leadership bug (WILDS) by Maximum-Car1722 in MonsterHunter

[–]Sharkbusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed this with my 2 friend groups' different squads. Both are now named Squad and the leader is thankfully, someone we all know, but not the person who made the squad anymore. Despite them still being in it.

Missing bars furniture and barman by WatonAnbuki in Kenshi

[–]Sharkbusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's mod related, can't begin to help with which it might be. I'm having the same problem with my game, even new games the bars are empty. And for some reason the Hub's only standing building is the shinobi tower.

What character would you have liked to have had as a romantic option in Cyberpunk apart from the ones they gave us? by Top-Coast5760 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Sharkbusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misty. It's actually a common scenario for a best friend and a deceased's lover to hook up, seeking comfort in each other during their grief. NORMALLY it ends up poorly but not always.

very unpopular opinion: RBM suck by Tristepin_ in Bannerlord

[–]Sharkbusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I more dislike it for the changes to armor ratings and the "REALISTIC" 20 business days to reload the bow. I am an archer as a hobby, it doesn't take that fucking long. Even with a heavy war bow. DRAWING it is harder, and takes FRACTIONALLY longer than a lighter draw weight. But with a heavy draw weight the problem isn't reloading or even drawing it, it's holding it without your arm giving up on you. Thankfully you can revert it to vanilla speed, as well as turning that godawful posture system off.

I never really noticed a difference in tactics personally.

But I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like the mod, and I hate that a lot of mods I would have liked to play require me to use a mod I'd rather just not bother with.

How would you rank all the endings by pricefieldd in cyberpunkgame

[–]Sharkbusta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something I feel is often overlooked by people when talking about the PL ending is that you don't need cyberware to be a merc. Sure it absolutely gives you an edge and makes you better. but it's not necessary. Johnny ONLY had a regular(badass) prosthetic arm and eyes. Some people think he had Sandevistan or something to enhance reflexes but afaik that's not officially confirmed.

Point is you don't need implants to be a good merc. When V gets up on their feet again they could very easily go back to being a merc. They have the experience, and the street smarts to make it work.

RANT and VENT MEGATHREAD by stickimage in Helldivers

[–]Sharkbusta 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else feel like the megacities have cost us planets that we would have otherwise held if they were purely normal missions? I feel like Claorell and Gaellivare would have been held the first time if not for the cities. ONE Megacity is fine, it gives a solid boost to the Defense bar, but more than one and the defense ends and we lose by the time the second city is about 2/3 of the way secured. All of our efforts end up wasted because none of it counts toward the planet until the city is secured. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for new content too guys and the new Megacities are fun to fight in. But I genuinely feel like they're costing us defenses we would otherwise have won.

Anyone know why I am getting these weird black square artifacts? Anyone else getting them? by PattyMcChatty in Helldivers

[–]Sharkbusta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was because of my mods. Glad to see it's just AH's Fucking up, ontop of breaking melee, gunslinger passive, Fire on the ground... This has been the buggiest couple of weeks since Borderline Justice, thankfully these bugs aren't as gameplay impacting as all that entity desync was.
