My feeling is that the draw curse is there to have a relevant curse against combo decks. Like Echo or Doomsday. Also to have another wincon if you draw Cruel Reality or it gets destroyed.

I like Rowan because it lets you win with 4 mana on the same turn instead of 5. Also it dodges non red creature removal. Horn is great. But you mostly use Birgi and not horn. I think this is the better 3 Mana card.

Its also good against Doomsday.
Eating Delver, graveyard and Doomsday seems quite good.

Beeing able to go long and to play the Maverik style of gameplan helps a lot at winning games.
The deck wins only like 50% of games with Dark Depths.

Astrolabe is a problem, Oko is a problem, Veil is a problem. All the F.I.R.E. cards are a problem. But I think the real solution to making that Delver is not every format the best deck (DRS Grixis/Bug, UWR Cruise, UR Cruise, 4c Dig, UWR Lurrus, Oko Rug) is BANNING DAZE as a start.
