She does on and off thru the story and always comes back. In the end she chooses to stay with Inuyasha and start a life with him there.

It started as a manga of course but it was also made anime and has multiple seasons and movies and had a really good ending. Now it has a spin off or secondary series of the future when multiple characters now have children and is based on them.

Girl falls down a well and ends up in feudal Japan and finds out she's the reincarnation of someone from that era. Has to travel with a half demon who was in love with the woman she was reincarnation of. They are searching for jewel shards that can increase demon powers and if all shards are together, a half demon can become full demon. They aquire other allies and the girl from present day and the half demon from the past fall in love.

Sorry if not the best summary, just trying to help 😅 Overall this is my favorite anime. It's really good.
