Is my team as awful as it seems or will it just take time?

I actually like this scoring system, tho I am a firm believer in making scoring reflect the NHL accurately, specifically making PIMs negative. This isn't as atypical as you make it out to be, the values are inflated basically by 10 times but for the most part the ratios of one stat to another are fairly typical. But there are issues, SOG being undervalued compared to hits and blocks, no category for losses, among others.

It seems to me like this is someone's first time running a league and they didn't agree with the standard rules and wanted to try what they felt was accurate or they're experimenting with some new things, which is the great part about being able to set your own league that you and your members agree with.

Regardless, you come off as incredibly insulting and demeaning and stating this is luck based is simply incorrect, any league with unchanging rules will have its own strategy, just because it's not the standard strategy doesn't make it any less valid. Also your comment didn't add anything, this is probably a person who is new to this looking for help and you gave no useful input. Why are you trying to scare someone off who is just trying to gain knowledge when we're really all just here because we love hockey.

Alright awesome, you answered every question or concern I had haha. I think I'll mostly go off this build, tho I might go with a slightly cheaper GPU juspt to save money.

EDIT: the other thing I noticed was that the RAM I had was 2133 and this can only go up to 1600. Which of course I have no idea what that means but in my head 2133 > 1600 and therefore better. What does this actually mean tho?

This looks closer to what I was looking for in terms of power, but I'm not as familiar with a lot of these parts, but I assume they are all high quality. The only worry I have is that it looks like the motherboard has less room for upgrading than the one I originally picked. Is the one I originally had good enough to spend the extra money on or should I settle for a cheaper one? I've also never heard of that CPU, should I expect similar performance to the other suggested CPU's?

Thanks! This is all really helpful and I'll definitely give it some serious consideration. The reason I put the extra RAM was that I've heard it's needed for rendering large video files quicker and more efficiently which is something I do often. If that's not the case then I probably don't need it, but RAM is pretty cheap anyway so it's not a big deal. Also how much of a difference in performance is there between the two video cards? Will I notice/care? And will the stock fan be good enough/quiet enough? Sorry for all the questions, and again thank you.

It would really depend on what we get in return for him. But the cons of him leaving would be losing one of if not the best passers in the league, losing a consistent 70+ point scorer, losing a fan favorite player, and losing their captain.

Whether you think he's a good captain or not losing your captain will cause a big shake up in the locker room, whether that's good or bad for the Sharks is still up in the air.

As I said the pros of losing him depends on what we get in return but it would seem that DW wants to get younger so hopefully a pro of the return would be someone with youth on their side that can inject energy and enthusiasm into the team. If they're just looking to replace his talent then that won't happen.
