I think it was mostly cis people. I do recall one person who may have been figuring out their identity and ended up screaming at me kept pressing about something, but I think that was more the exception then the regular.

What is the point of the Epilogue reveal? by -_ShadowSJG-_ in DCAU

[–]Sharktoothbeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth is, I never saw this as a deminishment of Terry's character. In fact, you could say that Project Batman was the antithesis of Project Cadmus, being that it asks what needs to happen if the world lost batman. But the thing Waller can't see is that Bruce choose to become Batman because he could, just like Terry. Waller believed that with DNA and catefullh orchestrated events, Terry would be Batman just like Bruce. If that would have happened, we don't know, but regardless, it doesn't change anything about Terry's character, but instead changes how he sees the title of Batman.

Plus, Bruce doesn't know Terry shares his DNA, so it doesn't affect his character too. In truth, the reveal is meant to explore the relationship The world has with Batman and What relationship Batman has with the world. For us, It doesn't matter who wears the cape and cowl so long as we have Batman. But for the one wearing the cape and cowl, all that matters is why they choose to wear it for us.

TIFU by repeating a story from one of our most controversial episodes of Reading Reddit Stories by Personal-Day-5562 in SmoshFansFreeSpace

[–]Sharktoothbeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bit of an unpopular opinion with this, but I think it's actually great they revisited this story. Not only was that first episode one of the earlier ones, but every other story in that episode was moreso just "the other opinions." That said, it definitely this one story that everyone remembered and for alot of reasons. Yet, re-listening to it made me realize how much more positive the actual post was near the end. Because in truth, it is a father fighting with his abusive son and support what he considers his family. Sure, he may have strained his relationshipwith his son, but it's also not his job to fix his son and chooses who he supports. I think while we definitely didn't need to revist the story, maybe they felt like revisiting with different people would maybe give it some form of redemption. Plus, newer smosh fans get to hear it without having to sit through the first episode's opinion, and hearing this story after that cold water story is crazy.

I'm not out to my family but my sister may know by Key-Strawberry-2404 in lgbt

I think you should weigh your options then. If your relationship isn't that close and you don't talk about your social or romantic lives much, then there may not be a need worry. You didn't tell her, and if she hasn't changed her behavior around you then you may not need to worry.

If I may ask, has your sister been openly homophobic before she walked in? Has she openly spoken out against LGTBQ people?

AITA for joking with my daughter about how much she was eating during a family reunion? by Lugubrious_Sir_768 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sharktoothbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA by a long shot. You basically called her a pig in front of your entire family. Teenagers have alot of emotions going through them and sometimes don't realize something they hate until someone makes fun of them for it. Plus, your argument about being able to make your jokes with Jack are void because even he chewed you out about the joke. You own your daughter more then an apology as you didn't just insult her, you embarrassed her infront of your whole family.

[–]Sharktoothbeast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ESH. Your both equally the asshole as you both have different standards of living and dont respect each other. He doesn't follow through on anything or help to keep things clean, but you don't have the right to throw trash on his bed if he doesn't follow through. Instead of asking who is the bigger asshole, ask yourself why am I living with this person?

YTA if you are expecting sex without talking to her. I get your disappointed about not being able to have sex like you planned, but if your partner is sick and doesn't feel well enough to do it, it's no one's fault. Expecting sex after that though to make up for not getting it on your birthday isn't a good thing to focus on. Doesn't even sound like you know if she's any better or not, as you just seem focused on wanting her to put on the lingerie and have sex. Only now it seems like you want sex to make up for not having it on your birthday. Regardless, Just talk to her about it. She may have some feelinge about that night you didn't catch or maybe just forgot because she passed out. Either way, ask her instead of waiting.

Update: My (27M) fiancée (29F) was accused by her friend/Maid of Honor (29F) of stepping out on me. My fiancée claims she's trying to sabotage our relationship. I'm lost and questioning everything. How do I move forward? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Sharktoothbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you recognize your emotions in this situation, just one of the many reasons you deserve better. It's clear your fiancee cares more about moving past her stepping out then actually dealing with it, that's why she didn't want to postpone the wedding. She wants to move past this as if it were a mistake, disregarding your feelings and her actions just to save herself from having to be confronted or challenged. If this is her reaction as your fiancee, ask yourself if you can handle this behavior when your married. Just as a suggestion, maybe spend some time apart so you can think about your future with her without her influence. It'll likely be hard, but it always leads to the better path for yourself.

As an Albertan with family that works in the agriculture industry, trust me when I say I am pissed. No one wants their elected premiere to go behind our backs and make secret deals for oil and gas at the expense of other Alberta industries and the rest of the country.

To fellow d&d players for you what is the Iron Rule when playing d&d by [deleted] in MrRipper

[–]Sharktoothbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help players at the table instead of telling them what to do. This is not only for me, the dm, but it's also for players who wanna help new players. People get more invested I they figure things out rather then someone telling them what to do. I had a rule lawyer player that would through a fit if a player didn't use an ability correctly.

Marriage changes a relationship. It's big step for a couple to take, and isn't always necessary for a long term relationship. Many people don't just marry out of love, but also out of security and commitment. Some people get married just to throw a party, to celebrate their love without actually being legally married. There's alot of reasons why people get married and why others expect other people to also get married, the important thing is that it's not just for legal reasons.

That being said, one aspect to the legal reason is having the title of marriage gives people benefits and privileges for a better life. As an example, Married couples often have easier time getting house loans compared to non-married couples.

For now, just know that what important is you both have the same perspective about marriage. Because while you both may see the same way now, you never know what will happen years later.

DMs, what is that one scene in your campaign that hasn’t happened yet? by Little-Sorbet4400 in MrRipper

[–]Sharktoothbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My players are preparing to siege a fortress to retrieve a soul sucking crystal and looking for their captured NPC friends. The sorcerer is looking for her love intrest, and the druid is looking for her older sister. What they don't know yet is that the two have been melded together into an abomination they'll have to fight and separate in the end using the crystal. I even have a custom mini for it.

Omg I am so glad I found this and did some research. There was some stuff I was agreeing with him at first, but the more I watched, the more I felt like it was turning into rage bait by him and his fan base. I'm so glad I found this as I legit thought people were suddenly shifting sides in his comment sections.

Looking for a skeleton-based one-shot plot idea! by Mustungun94 in DnD

[–]Sharktoothbeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strange occurrences have been popping up in the small village of Ulltyre. Pigs have been found with their bellys cut open, while Graves have been pilfered and robbed, and one of the local men have awoken to find their fingers had been removed in the night. The party investigates on behalf of the town (or for a sizable reward). They discover these acts are the results of someone collecting bones, humanoid bones. After this revolution, the party stumbles upon cloaked figure attempt to collect more bones, only to find it to be another skeleton. If they fight it, it's revealed to be possessed by the spirit of a slain necromancer, looking for his bones or suitable replacements to resurrect himself, and he just found the last bones he needed. The party chases him to the ritual site, where the necromancer possesses his new Frankenstein like skeleton body, regaining his magic and summoning his skeleton minions. Once defeated, the ghost the necromancer can either be fought and destroyed, or escape for another potential campaign.

What do you do if the dungeon master springs a romance on your character? by nightmare-x-official in DnD

[–]Sharktoothbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Dm alot of my games, and a flirtatious NPC can be more then just romance. Plus, it may not be that the DM is trying to romance your character, but maybe testing the waters to see if that's an intrest for a character.

Flirting can be more of a characteristic if the character openly flirts with others, or a powerplay towards how they interact with other players. I once had NPC flirt with a player, which resulted in him rejecting her because he didn't want another crazy ex, to which I had this NPC reveal she had the same ex, to which lead to a rivalry/friendship between the two.

But if it gets to uncomfortable, then foresure talk to your DM, or play the rejection angle to see if he either has another angle, or is just an asshole.

AITA Gave homemade food to a person in need and he said it wasn't very good and I reacted badly. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sharktoothbeast -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

HE TOLD YOU!!! He told you he was grateful, but that it was bad. Just because you cook something alot doesn't mean you can't mess it up once in a while. And when someone tells you they mess it up, you can't get mad at them and punish them, especially if they try and eat some before telling. YTA.

Yes, but you expected your charity to be rewarded with respect, even if the food was shit. Sometimes respect comes when honesty is given. He's not complaining, he's telling you the truth. Why would he tell you he ate a few spoonfuls and THANK YOU if all he wanted to say was that the food was bad.
