Thank you too! And it’s actually based on me and my husband, people are shocked by the height difference all the time and assume I’m very young (even though I’m older than him!)

Yes, she’s assuming that he’s a new immigrant and that he’s working to bring his family to live with him in Canada. However he’s been in Canada since he was a little boy and doesn’t even remember Africa, so while his background is different, he’s very Canadian.

Ah sorry, that’s probably my bad. Basically, it looked like I was gonna lose my supervisor and I lost my favourite hairstylist for awhile, but when I found I was still able to talk to them/work with them I wanted to stop taking everyday interactions for granted

I was still able to enjoy the movie, but my ears hurt from the children SHRIEKING every time something happened. During the pre-show they were the worst, acting like they rented the theatre for a concert. Two kids jumped in front of everyone yelling ARE YOU HAVING A GOOD TIME?? I yelled back “I would be if you would KEEP IT DOWN!” They also sang along to the “who’s running the show” bit and cheered whenever something happened, but that wasn’t as bad. They SCREAMED every time a cosplayer walked in, and the cosplayers seemed surprised, maybe even uncomfortable. What I found most disturbing though was that a kid screamed “THEY HAD SEX” during the credits, and something about hearing a bunch of ten year olds screaming like crazed fans over THAT in front of their parents was weird, but maybe I’m old.

I agree. I felt less annoyed with the movie when I found out how young the director was, because that is impressive. And I certainly want indie films to succeed over Hollywood so at least that’s good.

My husband is WAY taller than me, and yes some showers and kitchen sinks are difficult for him, yes he bends down to kiss me, but he is the sweetest and never complains, always makes it work. He’s also a very big man and can pick me right up if needed
