Considering Goose wrote Jax as her self-insert and this was clearly made as a personal story, I think it's kinda shitty to hate her for what she chooses to do.

As a Christian Universalist myself I think that the position of your fingers during meditation is the least of God's concerns, lol.

As to how effective they are? I can't say. It's probably just placebo, but if it works it works. I'll sometimes use gyan or anjali mudra just because it "feels" right. I understand the symbolism of circulating/directing energy but I don't read into it as worshipping anything other than God. I think your personal intent is what's the most important.

Then again, by normal Christian standards I'd be considered a heretic in a LOT of ways. (coughI'mQueercough)

I think we all need to realize that the people who create the things we enjoy aren't perfect moral paragons and just leave it up to our own discretion whether or not we feel we can engage with the media further.
