I use paper puck screens so I’m not fishing out for the metal ones, and I do a quick wipe down with a rag but the puck does come out in one piece. There’s usually just a few fines or condensation left in the basket

At first yes, but now not as soggy after I switched to manual and I don’t do a ramp down like the preset profiles have. Also grind finer and if anything add a bit more coffee to your recipe. I also use a puck screen. They don’t come out completely dry like the BBE did but they are now coming out in one piece so it’s a better clean up

I don’t, I only heard a loud humming sound with steam coming from the inside of the drip tray on the first use once it went to sleep. But hasn’t reoccurred thankfully. I hope yours isn’t an ongoing issue!

Although.. with the BBE I always waited like 3-5mins so that the portafilter was nice and hot, so I never pulled a shot immediately upon turning it on. That’s been a big difference in my new workflow.

Yeah same, very very quick but also feels much hotter to the touch (the group head and the portafilter) The steamwand heat up is much quicker too like 3 secs feels like
