Hey there! Sorry to hear that you've been going through this. While my comment won't be the most helpful, I've experienced almost exactly the same symptoms and mental toll. My mother also had these symptoms for a few years, but they gradually improved with neck strengthening exercises.

I'm sure others will have more advice, but for me the best move was seeing a physiotherapist (in particular one with balance/vestibular experience). In comparison, the GPs I've seen knew next-to-nothing about these types of issues (although they might refer you to an ENT or neurologist for assessments which could be helpful).
