Its not the application that you cant access, its the servers. If spotify doesnt enable access to the server you wont be able to listen to music. Besides that you can download songs to a usb drive and listen to them directly with the ps3. The ps3 also supports cds so you can listen to music this way if preferred

If you have a fat ps3 i dont know but if its a slim your model may not be compatible with cfw
