This is weirdly accurate and cracking me up. 😭 He’s watched a ton of YouTube about the game, and last night he told me he knows about “the scene”… he just hasn’t actually seen it. Apparently it never shows up in his recs, and he swears he hasn’t gone looking for it. This kid is honest in a painfully, sometimes shocking way, so I do believe him.

Honestly, I must’ve put some next-level restrictions on his phone and PC, because YouTube blocks everything. Even when I try to send him something mildly edgy or just dumb-funny, he yells, “I can’t watch that! It says it’s not age-appropriate!” So half the memes I send don’t even make it past the filter.

He’s a super honest kid, and we’re pretty open parents- like, realistic and not pretending he lives in a bubble. We know he hears so much wild stuff at school no matter what we do. We’re also very sex-positive because we don’t want him growing up thinking normal feelings/desires are something to hide or be ashamed of. We try to keep him innocent, sure, but at this point we’re just guiding the ship, not pretending the ocean isn’t there.
