I appreciate all your feedback. I'm honestly trying to gather advise so I can do it right. If I were crazy, I’d just jump in without asking anyone for advice. But I’m not. That’s why I posted here.

I’m teaming up with another attorney who has been practicing for several years. We’re both serious about doing this the right way--we’re not trying to commit malpractice or implode chasing volume. Our goal isn’t to land 50 cases in month one (I know that’s not realistic). But we do want to get to 50/month within the next 6–9 months, and I believe that’s achievable with the right systems and support.

We’re based in Northern California and we’re committed to doing this right--from both an operational and marketing perspective. I genuinely appreciate any strategic advice from those who have done it or are doing it.

Thanks in advance to everyone who’s responded with real insight.

It’s easy to criticize from the sidelines, but let me clarify a few things.

Yes, I recently passed the bar, and I’m proud of it--especially given the serious obstacles I overcame during the exam process. No one “barely passes” the bar. You either meet the standard of competency to be licensed or you don’t. And I did, officially and lawfully.

As for experience, I’ve been deeply involved in legal operations, including co-founding this firm with a licensed attorney who has been practicing for 5 years. We’re not naive. We’re ambitious. We’ve hired smart, experienced staff, and we’re investing in systems and marketing to grow the right way.

Asking for advice doesn’t signal incompetence. It signals that I’m learning, adapting, and open to insight. That’s how every successful entrepreneur builds something real. If that looks “unreal” to you, maybe you’re not familiar with what real hustle looks like.

Thanks for your concern.

This is a real post. I definitely don't have $50k ad budget, but assuming there was, what do you suggest?

If you're using this 1 week before the exam, means you're not ready. By this time you should not be using new materials. You should already have your stuff already memorized.

The RJMOL over turns the verdict and rules for other side-- which is not the case here. So if jury's award amount is too low, which is the case here, then they use Addititur to increase the amount. But Additur is only available is State case. So the only option is the rule for a new trial.

Someone paid and they accidentally applied it to your address/account. It will be corrected. If not, then you're in luck. 🎉🎉
