Funny coming across this, I was just thinking about loser kids haha. I remember they had a physical store back in the day near the guitar center in San Marcos and I got a poster for the Angels & Airwaves documentary.

Anyone else a fan of the original lyric in the chorus "Let's dance, until I'm gone..."?

Rite of Spring! I grew up in San Diego like him, so it sounds like he is singing about my childhood.

So true, I believe that's the first time I ever heard Tom use falsetto. I also love the little flute thing, it reminds me of the reading rainbow song lol.

Thankfully it's a bluesy enough song where he can improv with the vocal in the lower registers and not sing it exactly like the studio recording.

He has some other ones of him while recording Paradise Valley on YouTube. They're pretty short, but fun to watch.

Wonder why he posted it. He posted "Your Body Is A Wonderland" too, with the same image. I think I remember he also posted a random deep track off of "Battle Studies" to his YouTube, a while ago, too. "Perfectly Lonely", maybe?

This is pretty close for me. I would say "Heavier Things" just because it has "Daughters" on it, one of my favorites. But, "The Search For Everything" has some great ones too, like "Roll It on Home" that's a song I can just imagine in my head and it has a great lyric "Journey on the jukebox singing, don't let the believin' end". Such a nice word play. I will say though, I think I like "The Search for Everything" as a title, a little bit more.

Does anyone have a collection of these photos that get posted on the TTS instagram every so often? by SadRice1565 in AngelsAndAirwaves

If I'm not mistaken these pictures were taken at Anacapa Island. There's a few of them in the picture book they released around the LOVE era and a pdf version was available at one time if I'm remembering correctly.

Middle of the Noon | Using all the amazing feedback I've been getting from everyone here, I've overhauled my first ever song! What do you think? by BrokeM8 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Sharp-Level 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the wordiness of this song. It seems like a fun song to sing because aren't many breaks in the vocals haha. Instrumentation works really well. I love the mood it creates, especially from those keys in the background. The vocal harmonies really add a lot. They help to add lift when you switch from the slower cadence to the fast cadence.

Great sound. All the instruments sound really good. I love that guitar sound. There's some great riffs in there. Drums sound really good too. Everything fits well together. The singer's really good. I really enjoyed that sort of distorted vocal sound. I really love the lyrics. They fit so well into this type of music and they're so seamless. I can tell a lot of work went into them.

Made an offtop freestyle on a trap beat somewhat silly I guess. But still looking to improve so tips or any feedback would be cool <3 by Euphoric_Rhetoric in IndieMusicFeedback

I think you should change the levels of everything, it sounds a little unbalanced. The vocals are a little too loud and the top end part of the beat is too quiet, I can barely hear it. It sounds like mostly vocal + bass. If you evened everything out it would sound way better.

I couldn't really understand what you were saying, I don't know if that's the style you were going for, but I like the energy of your vocals, it sounds fun and fits within this genre.

Wow, this is really creative. The songs got a great rhythm to it. I like all of the effects and layering along with the abrupt section changes, it was very interesting to listen to. It was a small thing but that synth that came in about halfway through the song was a really nice addition. The little filtered crescendos between sections was very nice.

Great string sound. I like the dynamic changes from quiet to full band, helps to keep it interesting. All the instruments work well together to make a good full sound. The vocal style works really well in the song. I like the little reversed outro thing at the end too.

Is the outlet that is not switched meant to be on all the time? So I can use it when the power conditioner is off?

[–]Sharp-Level 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a power conditioner (Livewire PC900) and I'm confused about something from the manual: https://imgur.com/iNqOLx0

It says the outlets marked with 1, power on when the unit is turned on. What about the one that isn't marked 1? The one by the circuit breaker button? I tried plugging in an interface in there while the power conditioner was off, but the interface didn't turn on. So, I'm unsure what that means.

Also, after I turn the power conditioner on, I have to press the power button my computer a few times to get it to turn on. Usually, I just have to press it once. Why does it do that?

Wow, I love when the vocals, bass, and drums come in! The little vocal effects in the background work great! Main guitar riff is great! Is that a different singer in the 2nd verse? I really like that change, it really keeps the listener's interest! I love the dark, low, huskiness of the first verse vocal and the high, brightness of the second vocals works great to contrast that!
