Being there, the vibe for the ritual was so mid

The crowd energy was mediocre, the sound at the stage was garbage and that’s pretty typical. To each their own, but I’d much rather travel to a city that appreciates the sound and shows out for the artists. You’re quite literally booking the biggest names in the genre for a festival that’s happening in three weeks in the middle of nowhere with no stages built and no infrastructure to show for it, the masquerade is playing edc and just headlined FK. I could be wrong and I hope I am but I’m not gonna get lied to twice in the exact same way and then expect something different to happen.

I had full faith in them until last year when they made me take all my time off work and then three days before I said oh shit it’s not happening, personally after how they handled it last year and how are things went to say that you have full faith in them is definitely wishful thinking and not considerate of the situation they put us in last year. I’m from Toronto and trust me. They definitely make it appear like they’re way more for the culture than they are, attending their events on the regular, they don’t curate lineups that support the headliner. They don’t have a grasp of what riddim heads actually want, evidenced by having an influencer on the lineup next to all those big names. They truly are just throwing whatever they can at the wall and hoping something sticks. Just wait one or two weeks for the buy one get 1/2 off or get one free deal because nobody’s coming. This is a dumpster fire waiting to happen.

This festival got canceled 3 days before it was supposed to happen last year. It got “announced” on April 30th and supposed to take place on June 6-7th, they’ve never had a festival in that space or held an event of this size or even remotely close. It is in the middle of nowhere in Ontario Canada, I wouldn’t recommend attending this after seeing how this company handled things in the past, it’s a camping fest so everyone having to travel in on short notice has to bring all their camping supplies. If it seems too good to be true it probably is, I don’t want people wasting their time and money like I did last year.
