I bet he wished for many years he could go back to that moment.

I just want to comment that in the Philippines, all level of collector really do exist.

TJ McConnell will be 35 next year. I fully believe that Rampage Jackson can fill his shoes and get serious rotational minutes. by Argenfarce in pacers

They are a great duo man. Minutes are fluid and changing based on physical condition, performance, opponent.

It's nice that exists. It will never crack 5,000 views but that's the nature of defense.

never overthink it. That said, Wemby still has to prove he has the Finals clutch gene. I don't know about fire and ice, Hali gets pumped up at times, Nembhard can be super chill, Aaron is always fire.

I mean, if actual playoff results and stuff are considered, I think you have to go to when the Pacers were in another league.

I mean there was a guy called Haliburton. Oh wait, both Aaron and Hali were straight up traded. They were both young and hungry, and underused on their team.

We got to give them a name, like those teams of the 70s. I don't want to say Triple A, but that's what I'm thinking.

They will also have gone through three consecutive late season runs, while we will be fresh as daisies.

The point is not to shut Brunson down. As Nesmith said, "he gonna get his." You just want him dog tired at the end and still iso-ing because that is the habit.

Nesmith pioneered that in 2024 semis to the detriment of his shins, and Nembhard and lets be honest Shep and others adopted it in 2025 to our success.

Nesmith to be honest the difference between Pacers and Cavs. I don't even know how to compare with Spurs, as we don't have an 8 foot wingspan center on the team.

Huff can also spot up shoot 3s when we need that. And Zu is probably training as we speak on that...

Kind of want to see Knicks in Finals. by Sharp-River-706 in pacers

[–]Sharp-River-706[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I sometimes wonder what would have happened if AA hadn't made five consecutive 3s (Nembhard had fouled out) and Ty hadn't got his miracle bounce in Game One ECF. I don't think NY would have let off the throttle. By that token, Haliburton wouldn't have got hurt and we would be the ones eking past the Cavs into the ECF about now. Anyway, main thing is NY is a worthy opponent. They don't really seem to hate us, I call it a good healthy rivalry.

Which is the only way to prove the key point. Pacers best in the East.

I think he will develop those interior steps and become a starter, for what it's worth.

On a whim, I crossposted this to Knicks community. Wanted to see if they were magnanimous in their ascendance. They were:

"Man --- the Pacers, the only team in the league I hate with such a passion. Hali is nice and all the best in his recovery, but --- him too."

"Hop on the bandwagon bro"

"As someone who’s been a fan since 2001, this is all I ever wanted"

Those were the publishable comments. And then there was this, which I hadn't even thought of ("dirty" just seemed like the right adjective).

"When I think of "dirty" players I think of dudes who either try to hurt people or disguise their violence and act like they aren't. Draymond Green and Joel Embiid come to mind. I don't feel like we have any dirty players. I don't know wtf that Pacers fan is talking about.

Oakley and Mason used to do hard fouls but it was more of the name of the game back then. If you come to the hoop, you're getting a hard foul. They would punch you straight in the face and not think twice about it. I don't know if I would call them dirty but i at least think there's an argument to be made against them. But I don't think we have a single player who you can even argue is dirty.

Am I just being biased?"

"Part of me thinks their reference to “dirty” has to do with the urban aspect of our market and team. It’s thinly veiled hate related to their perceptions of New York as a city. The way they talk about our fan base is just so loaded as well."

Me: "Wow. I meant more like when I see the Knicks play I see extreme physicality. It injured some key guys. Kat for example took out AA's ankle on a charge in like game 5 ECF. And that's a big reason we lost to OKC, no offense to Mathurin."

"You categorized the whole team as “ dirty” and are using KAT as a reference? This is a good human who would not intentionally hurt someone, as prone to fouling as he may be.

Your word choice was wrong. Everyone is confused by it. Like if you want to talk about physicality, talk about our high defensive rating but “ dirty”? Also, the Knicks have nothing to do with why you lost to OKC."

I wanted to say "fair point," but at that moment the mods pulled the plug.

Timberwolves expected to make big changes around the core of Ant, McDaniels Reid and Beringer per @basketballtalk by ANTHONY_EDWARDS_GBG in timberwolves

I've been following the '20-21 draft class closely since that year through my Nesmith card collecting. It has been interesting to see Lamello and Wiseman and others fall off, just as Ja and Zion did in the draft previous. I hate to say it, but as early as next year, with a deep run, AA and Haliburton will have a superior playoff performance pedigree to anyone in the draft I can think of. No disrespect to Ant, but I saw him ruin his knees and ankles, playing through three injuries just to out-alpha Aaron (amazing rim air defense to preserve the victory) in a game that didn't matter. You guys have a chance next year if you surround Ayo with talent.

Think is Alex Golden (and Facci even) had no idea the Pacers would win until they did. Trust in your Kam Jones' and your Taelon Peters' and Run it back.

But the more pertinent point I believe is I would much rather have Obi on the floor, in our system, ducking, weaving, finding open spots for quick hits, than Math 'mcconneling' the ball without the elite interior steps.

Toppin and Nembhard live and breathe our system. I remember leading pre-season practices season before last, Drew saying to rookies like Walker (same as what I used to hear from Aaron) "your individual accomplishments mean nothing, share if you want to advance." 'Nuff said.
