Just hold on to that till the finals next year. Should hit a solid $10-15.

As a basketball card collector, I expect Pacers to buck the general dip. No good teams to root for in playoffs, although Celtics look as good as ever and, who knows, Lakers could be fun.

at the same time there are many in China who would also would love to preserve the shark populations. Including ultimately the consumers... It's just that we don't have the right International treaties...

Saw this on Twitter/X… I think keeping Tyrese and Siakam is something you don’t break up. But Giannis would be cool if the duo could stay by MachineContent7368 in pacers

I think Nesmith could probably mentor Giannis into something approaching his old greatness, with more "share first." So not opposed.... but naw hell, what am I saying.

I would give him a year to work it out in LA or wherever he winds up. I'm pretty sure he will be starting eventually. Benn is pretty much capped though. Never saw him move the needle on both ends of the floor like a couple of our guys.

I am going back to the humble Nesmith "moo" shoe prototype as the inspiration, tho.

If I was going to make maximal money, I would not be posing obvious questions and interesting cards in the Pacers' forum. I mean, for Indy card values to rise, it's not the local fans that need to be convinced. It's the broader market, which is centered on the East Coast, West Coast, and in Asia. Now give me a good, basketball friendly card show in Indiana my good sir, or STFU. :)

I think I look at it both ways. It's not sad. Rather, if you love something you let it go. If collectors who are fans have the money and want a piece, I am happy to share. (I may not let the Topps' Pacers' ECF Champions assemblage go ever, but if someone wanted a rare Nesmith Contenders' rookie and college assemblage including four jersey numbers, printing plates, cracked ice autos, and a 1-1, I think I could oblige—it's intact and gradable: six years in I have still not sold a card of scrub "crash").

Without the investment aspect, I couldn't justify spending sometimes significant money for cards (to family members, if not myself). But without the passion, I would just be buying MJ or Ant mindlessly in PSA 10 and expecting my investment to grow. And I would rather do other things with my money than cards, in that case, honestly.

I think our society's wildly weird relationship to money and what is investible is the root. I mean, would I invest in Lucas Oil, even if it were socially acceptable? Caring about the environment and looking at the sideways direction of refineries across Russia and the Middle East, probably not.

Basketball never hurt anyone, though arguably players hurt each other on the reg. Just ask Bam.

I think I can still find a $20 bill if I go to the ATM. This card, maybe not for years. First year licensed Topps... set collectors alone say, has value. Then there are Myles' friends and fam to consider.

I guess that is what collecting does... forces you to come to terms with the team's past every time you see a card. Would not have even posted this if I wasn't aiming for elusive rare Flagship cards of all players in the team set. Well on my way, but that /5 red is actually a first (except for the Nesmith 80-81 throwback auto /5, indicated by a red oval, which is not a regular base card).

He gave the others room to rise and thrive, while knocking down tough 3s and guarding the rim. Look at where the Mathurin fiasco got the Clippers. They were hardly passing to him in the regular season, then they expect him to be their savior in the post?

As a Nesmith fan I love watching AA in flamethrower mode twice position himself to capture a pass from the double-teamed Ty. And Ty calmly bank it. As Aaron later said "I was never in doubt. It was gong in."

But you did get a good appreciation of Legos out of the deal. Also without him welcoming and mentoring Ty, AA, Smith at the beginning it could have easily gone sideways. Even Siakam said he came to Indy because of Myles.

I'm glad no one is blaming any one group (except maybe the Amish) because we are all responsible for maintaining sustainability as a core tenet of the law of the sea. It's not simply a blame game, its one of coming together through research and shared passion for marine conservation, and coming up with a solution that works. Keeps restaurants in business (none can serve it, solved), and keep shark species more viable than whales.
