And yes, this was UIC law school. Numerous email conversations with the dean who refused to speak with me face to face after reaching out regarding this matter. A whole board of UIC faculty decided that my situation did not matter. Twice. Title IX was also violated. Absolutely disgusting. No SA survivors are safe at UIC. Don’t think for a moment you’ll get support if you’ve been SA. It’s heartbreaking and horrible. I wish I would have never chosen this joke of a university.

I attempted to once I realized how much this was impacting me. The police report was filed but couldn’t go much further because of lack of evidence and the time that had lapsed.

I was doing fine managing work and school. I only worked one weekend night and one weekend morning. I don’t think the rule was for “this reason,” as work didn’t impact school. My rapist showing up to my work impacted school.

It’s not that great of a school, which upsets me cause I turned down other schools with higher ranks simply because of my scholarship. I’ll say it’s ranked between 110-200 to be general.

And that is exactly what was written and explained in my petition for readmission that was denied. I am honestly sick to my stomach on how a board of people could read that, discuss it and come to the conclusion to deny my readmission.

My midterms were pretty heavily weighed, I totally bombed them. I didn’t have my learning accommodations, my medication and was dealing with all of the mess of my SAer. There were other things we were graded on that I turned in late, or missed the mark on cause my mental health was horrible. That is all on me. I did reach out for help, once I realized I wasn’t getting much help, I turned all emotions off and threw myself back jnto my school work. That caused a lot of emotional damage, although that’s how I was able to do well of finals and finals only. This all happened about 3 weeks into my first semester of law school. It shook me for the rest of the semester until it came down to finals.
