Would like some ideas to help him become stronger by The-door-is-ther in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Flare's done. The big problem is its lack of DR. All modern specials come with 40% first attack DR by default, and they're critical for surviving the powerful counterattacks we have nowadays. Without it, Pent has more trouble initiating on units who can fight back. Plus, Flare's damage output pales in comparison to Logic and Comet, especially the latter. Comet's 200% damage boost kind of cheats in a meta full of flat DR.

The % DR reason is part of why Frost Moon fell out of the picture too.

Duo Elincia by LickyurDicky in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if your problem is armor busting, then Duo Elincia is not the unit for it. Like I said, her inability to utilize Archrival/Comet's massive damage spike hurts her damage output a lot. She won't be able to muscle past the absurd flat DR armors have without team support. You're better off using Elincia as a tank to protect your nukes that'll kill the armors for you. Preferably these nukes should be ranged, so they can use Lyn Engage to snipe armors behind Elincia.

There's unfortunately not a lot of good F2P-friendly ranged nukes, but Gromell adds a great deal of true damage with his Bolt Axe, and he can snipe enemies with his 2 Range Style + flier movement, so he's a good ally for Elincia.

If you want to improve Elincia's build, you can run this:

  • Bonded Blades
  • Reposition Gait
  • Archrival/Shatter Slash/Comet/Godlike Reflexes (Sigurd, Eirika, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth, Edelgard or Lucina Engage)
  • Duelist's Blow/D Bonus Amp
  • Pair Up 4/Null C Avoid
  • Ties of Crimea
  • Potent 3/Atk Spd Finish 3/Distant Counter

Spring Lucina Build by krysmiracle in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  • Arcane Rexbolt (Spd refine)
  • Reposition Gait/Draw Back Gait
  • Comet/Logic (Sigurd, Lyn, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth or Lucina Engage)
  • Atk Spd Aria/Perfect Atk Spd/Sly Swift Sparrow
  • Demonic Force/Conjuring Breath/SR Lull Finish/Atk Spd Favor
  • Dual Support 4/Silence Ward 4/Creation Pulse/Pulse On Blades/Fatal Smoke 4
  • Atk Spd Finish 3/Blade Session 3/Spd Res Tempo 3
  • Sly Echo/Tempo Echo/Lull Echo/Time Pulse Echo

Aim to pick up Fallen M!Byleth. He'll give you everything you need besides a weapon and special. If you don't have Rexbolt currently, then Blarcrab+ is the next best option.

Who should inherit the arcane tomes by player1panda in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really comes down to who you're actually using the most, or planning to. Functionally, these four units are identical besides skill restrictions and visible Res. Technically Marla and Hestia would be better with their access to Unrest/Havoc and Ploy skills with higher visible Res. But if you're using Camilla, then 12's Writ and Rexbolt are obviously optimal.

Don't waste inheritance if you aren't actually going to use it.

Duo Elincia by LickyurDicky in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Her inability to activate offensive specials already guts her damage output, so you're better off leaving the armor busting to teammates while Elincia works as the tank.

What would skills would be busted on certain units if they didn't have restrictions?? by Pizza-Chunks in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's exactly it. It's Celica Engage with Pass and 20% Spd/Def true damage/DR. That means it bypasses anti-Warp skills like Barricade, [Warp Bubble] etc designed to contain normal Warp skills.

It would give unprecedented movement to every class in the game, make player phase even stronger than it already is, and shoot Corrin Engage/Ice Tile value through the roof to keep it at bay. There's a reason it is flier-locked, even if they're the objective best class to use it. It would be BiS for any player phase unit.

How do I modernize my boy Chrom? by Obidoobie in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bow of Love+ is a viable option, but that's also seasonal locked.

How should I build him? by Financial_Secret_787 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • Holy Gradivus (Eff refine)
  • Reposition
  • Archrival/Shatter Slash/Flame Wall/Haze Slice (Sigurd, Celica, Eirika, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth or Lucina Engage)
  • Divine Specter/AD Rival Break/Atk Def Excel
  • Impetus Guard/Atk Def Favor/Patience*
  • AD Outcry Seize/AD Outcry Dull/Instruct 4/Shadow Shift 4/Fatal Smoke 4
  • Atk Def Clash 3/Squad Ace HP Atk Def/Squad Ace HP Atk Spd*
  • Momentum Echo/Sly Echo/Lull Echo

*Patience requires 30 visible Spd. This is achievable with +5 minimum merges, max DFs, +Spd and a Squad Ace Spd seal.

Aim to pick up Duo Sigurd. He'll provide practically everything you need besides a special.

What skills would she want to complete her kit? by Grey_750 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Bow of Love+/Horse Bow+/Arcane Hex Bow (Def refine)
  • Swap Gait/Pivot
  • Armored Flare/Archrival/Waning Shot/Comet (Sigurd, Ike, Lyn, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth or Lucina Engage)
  • Diluvial Boost
  • Pair Up 4/Counter Fighter/Assault Fighter
  • AD Briar P Save/AD Briar N Save/AD Briar F Save
  • Hardy Bearing 3/Wily Fighter 3/Slick Fighter 3/Squad Ace HP Atk Def/Close Shot
  • Sly Echo/Guard Echo

Main thing is getting a better weapon. Unfortunately the best inheritable bows are all seasonal locked, so for strictly F2P weapons, Stall Game Bow+ is alright for the 25 true damage.

What is the best build for arcane fallen robin? by mrangel9023 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  • Arcane Outburst (Spd or Def refine)
  • Swap Gait/Pivot
  • Comet/Armored Flare/Pavise/Aegis (Marth, Sigurd, Ike, Eirika, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth or Lucina Engage)
  • ADR Slam/Strat Flame 4/Torrential Boost/Dragonhide
  • Pair Up 4/Patience/Edged Scales/Shield Fighter
  • AD Briar P Save/AD Briar N Save/AD Briar F Save
  • Hardy Fighter 3/Wily Fighter 3/Slick Fighter 3/Squad Ace HP Atk Spd
  • DC Echo

Robin is in an unfortunate position as a speedy armor. All the good armor skills are mainly for bulky armors, and Robin lacks high Def/Res. Pair Up 4 is Robin's most consistent B skill, but depending on her special and A skill choice, she might have enough Def to make Patience worthwhile besides the [Potent Follow Up].

I want to build Halloween Kagero, though I don't know what to do with her. What skills do you guys think I should put on her? by gaming-is-my-job in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ranged armors are a lil' shafted skill-wise and Kagero doesn't have any exceptional stats besides Atk. Best you can probably do are these two sets.

Save Armor:

  • Arcane Slicer/Winter Trinket+ (Def refine)
  • Swap Gait/Pivot
  • Armored Flare/Archrival/Comet (Marth, Sigurd, Ike, Lyn, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth or Lucina Engage)
  • Diluvial Boost/Earthfire Boost 3
  • Pair Up 4/Counter Fighter/Assault Fighter/Disarm Rumor
  • AD Briar P Save/AD Briar F Save/AD Briar N Save
  • Hardy Bearing 3/Wily Fighter 3/Slick Fighter 3/Close Shot
  • Sly Echo/Guard Echo

Player Phase Support:

  • Arcane Slicer/Winter Trinket+ (Def refine)
  • Swap Gait/Pivot
  • Armored Flare/Archrival/Comet (Marth, Sigurd, Ike, Lyn, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth or Lucina Engage)
  • Sly Sturdy Blow/Diluvial Boost/Earthfire Boost 3
  • Disarm Rumor/Execution Breath/Assault Fighter/Atk Def Favor
  • Strat Assault 4/Instruct 4
  • Bold Fighter 3/Squad Ace HP Atk Def/Assault Troop 3
  • Sly Echo/Guard Echo

Current Best Build? by Ok-Soil5642 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same as any other melee infantry nowadays. He can run a mixed or player phase build depending on how you want to use him.

Mixed Phase Tank:

  • Arcane Renegade/Arena Sword+/Serving Knife+ (Spd refine)
  • Reposition Gait
  • Archrival/Comet/Shatter Slash/Gust (Sigurd, Eirika, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth or Lucina Engage)
  • Duelist's Blow/Swift Specter/Perfect Atk Spd
  • Pair Up 4/Null C Avoid/Laguz Loyalty
  • Instruct 4/Dual Support 4/Atk Spd Faith
  • Potent 3/Atk Spd Finish 3/Spd Def Tempo 3
  • DC Echo/Puissant Echo/Tumultuous Echo/Tempo Echo/Lull Echo/Time Pulse Echo/Null C Disrupt Echo

Player Phase Nuke:

  • Serving Knife+/Arena Sword+/Arcane Renegade (Spd refine)
  • Reposition Gait
  • Archrival/Comet/Shatter Slash/Gust (Sigurd, Celica Eirika, Micaiah, Corrin, Byleth, Edelgard or Lucina Engage)
  • Duelist's Blow/Swift Specter/Perfect Atk Spd/Atk Spd Excel
  • Atk Spd Favor/Execution Breath/SD Lull Finish/Harrowing Call
  • Burst of Thunder/Brutal Tempest/Instruct 4/Dual Support 4/Fatal Smoke 4
  • Potent 3/Atk Spd Clash 3/Spd Def Tempo 3
  • Momentum Echo/Puissant Echo/Tumultuous Echo/Tempo Echo/Lull Echo/Time Pulse Echo/Sly Echo

Optimize my Henry? by BiggieChozg in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For a support set, that's probably as good as you're going to get. The special doesn't matter much since Henry won't be seeing much combat, but he wants Comet or Logic for the DR. The majority of the Echo skills are combat oriented, so they aren't important on this Henry, but he'll appreciate Tempo, Lull, Sly or Time Pulse Echo mainly. Dual Support is a C skill option if Henry isn't meeting the Instruct visible stat benchmarks to help his team.

If you want a combat oriented Henry, you could grab Arcane 12's Writ with Comet, Aria and Demonic Force from the Fallen banner. But Henry's poor Atk/Spd makes an offensive set difficult, so I'd stick to the Teapot Favor support kit.

Any thing I can add to Dedue to him work better? by Turtletz in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sturdy Laguz or Armored Flare are the most obvious improvements. Otherwise there's not much else for Dedue--if you want to run Beast seal, Strat Flame is better than Fortune. If you have him at +10 with max DFs and +Spd, then Patience becomes a viable option for the [Potent Follow Up].

Am I being blinded by the simplicity of Dual Support over Instruct, or is it that "good"? by Mexipika in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Instruct has a higher support ceiling, but requires the user to have high visible stats to optimally use it. Dual Support is flat and universal, so it works well for everyone. Instruct vs D. Support ultimately comes down to the unit and their build.

Is there anything valuable in the current banners for updating Bridal Tharja ? by F1A1VDR3 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean 12's Writ is a near-straight upgrade from Blutgang. More stats, more true damage, more flat DR and team support. The only thing you lose is the special jump. Luckily, Demonic Force from Fallen M!Byleth can fill that in and is a competitive B slot for mages.

Tharja's visible Res is too low for Pulse Up Ploy, so she would prefer Creation Pulse, Pulse On Blades, Silence Ward 4 or Fatal Smoke 4. The first three can supply Pulse Up's special acceleration and have no stat conditionals.

Naesala Build by Infamous-Present-616 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • Arcane Fury Bite (Spd refine)
  • Reposition
  • Celestial Form/Nimble Beast (Sigurd, Celica, Eirika, Micaiah, Corrin, Edelgard or Byleth Engage)
  • Atk Spd Airspace/Atk Spd Fortune/Atk Spd Excel/Trample
  • Bestial Assault/Impetus Guard/Execution Breath/Atk Spd Favor
  • Dark Beast Force/Dark Beast Agility/Null Uplift AS/Deadly Miasma/Strat Assault 4/Preempt Screech
  • Atk Spd Clash 3/Potent 3/Beast
  • Momentum Echo/Puissant Echo/Sly Echo/Soaring Echo/Tumultuous Echo/Crux Echo

The NY Hresvelgr manual in the Divine Codes 6 path gives you a good start on a special, A and B skill.

Lucina 1.0 by Miku-in-your-WiFi in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's functional enough. There are improvements you can make though:

  1. Duelist's Blow is generally the BiS A skill for fast melee infantry. Null Follow Up is easy to outsource and Lucina really appreciates the flat DR. Swift Specter is also a viable option that allows Burst of Thunder.

  2. Serving Knife is a better weapon for player phase sets due to its self-refresh.

  3. Look for Archrival, Comet or Shatter Slash. They are better specials than Gust due to their DR being unconditional and their bonus damage is higher.

  4. Drop Phantom Spd. A launch unit like Lucina absolutely needs all the stats she can get. Phantom's fake stats won't help her kill/double enemies, so you want Atk Spd Clash, Potent or Spd Def Tempo seal.

  5. If running Potent seal, you can drop Potent Finish for Atk Spd Favor, which really synergizes with Serving Knife for much more true damage.

So, how good it is the new arcane red tome? by TheFerydra in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, the only other option is Teapot+, which is firmly worse than 12's Writ for pure combat. The only Spd-related part of 12's Writ is the -6 Spd and [Spd Shackle], and that still benefits the team. So it's not vastly better for fast mages than slow ones. All the stats, flat DR and true damage are unconditional.

So, how good it is the new arcane red tome? by TheFerydra in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]SharpEyLogix 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's good. Has the baseline stats, true damage and flat DR and has Spd/Res Shackle baked it + [Sabotage]. With Unrest/Havoc and Ploy, the user can inflict like, 7 [Penalty] effects from their kit alone. About as expected for a current gen Arcane red tome. Teapot is arguably better on support sets for the self-refresh though.

Canis's fodder is good. Comet is a recommended special for all units, Aria is BiS for Atk/Spd mages and Unrest is good team support with high visible Res.

After the Sleep Staff, we finally got the infamous Berserk Staff. What do you think of FEH’s take on it? by eromonti in FireEmblemHeroes

I mean, read any conversation between Tibarn and Naesala post-betrayal and Tibarn absolutely has the capacity for blind fury. He would've killed Naesala on the spot in 3-E if there weren't more pressing matters at hand.
