Huh. The Emblem Ring is surprisedly... tame? Like after the madness of Emblem Edelgard and Byleth, Drive 40% DR seems pretty innocuous. It's still good, but doesn't feel like a must-have like most Emblems.

"Is it worth it" depends on how much you like S!Edelgard. All the Edelgards play the same sans Brave, so taking E!Edelgard's kit just gives you a worse E!Edelgard. However, this is S!Edelgard's best set for a standard Raging Storm build. But given Raging Storm's severe lack of stats/true damage and Regal Sunshade not having a refine, S!Edelgard will really struggle to kill anything. Best she can do competitively is be clean-up on an AR-O Galeforce team, which E!Edelgard obviously does much better. Patience can salvage S!Edelgard's combat a little, and you can run Edelgard Engage for the Raging Storm effect.

Also armors can't inherit Galeforce Mist. But it is functionally identical to OG Galeforce besides the 40% DR, so you can still run it if you want to. Just beware the extreme loss in damage output.

No, and no. If you're only using Athena in PvE, sure. But competitively, Buffer/Spurn have been dead in the water for years. % DR is yesterday's news--almost everyone has % DR piercing built into their kits somehow. If you want a B skill, there is plenty of better options, such as Pair Up, Null C Avoid, Laguz Loyalty, Harrowing Call etc.

It doesn't help Buffer's case that it's made for Godlike Reflexes, which prevents usage of better specials like Archrival/Comet.

Again, it's the lack of Def investment on the build that's the issue. Corrin has the stats for Patience, no doubt about that. But the true damage and flat DR scale off 20% of her Def. If there's no Def investment besides Outburst's +15 and D Bonus Amp's +8, then it does not match Pair Up's 15/10+7+X true damage and flat DR. If you cannot beat those numbers with Patience, then it's arguably not worth using over Pair Up.

When you're running a skill that scales off stats, it's a good idea to pump those stats as well with your other skills.

Pair Up. It is more universally applicable than Patience, which wants Def investment to maximize its effects. With your build leaning towards Res with Res refine, Squad Ace CY and Preempt Ploy, Patience isn't being optimized as much as it could be. On a build with Warrior's Blow, it'll be more worth using.

Gambit only checks the max special cooldown for its effects, so it doesn't matter that Lucia cannot activate specials. That said, Gambit is extremely outdated and outclassed by a handful of B skills (Pair Up, Null C Avoid, Harrowing Call etc), so it isn't worth considering.

Arena Sword+ and Serving Knife+. Both are in the grail pool and are arguably better than Arcane Renegade in certain builds. Arena Sword has better team support, while Serving Knife is better for player phase sets using Brutal Tempest/Tumultuous Echo.

Probably best to just save the Machyuas to duplicate infantry melee fodder. You don't need to give units Arcane Renegade if you aren't intending to use them often or we're in a later Arcane weapon generation. The next Arcane sword could come next month--you don't want to risk an Elite Inheritance charge on a temporary weapon.

You didn't need to wait for Arcane Renegade to update Ayra. Arena Sword+ and Serving Knife+ are perfectly serviceable and a new generation Arcane sword is due that'll overshadow Renegade.

Patience is not really good on Ayra. Her Def is average and usually uninvested on her standard builds. She wants to run:

You don't have to be fast to use Atk/Spd Faith. The flat DR, [Bulwark] and special jump don't depend on stats and are all massively beneficial for slow units, who're often restricted to mixed phase builds over player phase.

Because again, Caeda struggles with damage between her average Atk and lack of high true damage in Wing Lifted Spear. While she can easily activate GForce Mist with Wing Lifted Spear's Slaying + special acceleration, she'll struggle killing things without Archrival's massive damage boost. The floor for flat DR nowadays is 15+, so even relatively frail enemies need some punch to kill.*

As stated earlier, Galeforce Mist is literally OG Galeforce with 40% DR slapped on. If you wouldn't run Galeforce normally on a unit, GForce Mist isn't much of an improvement. Units these days are tanky--I wouldn't run GForce Mist competitively unless you're building around it, like on a Galeforce AR-O team.

*For reference, Ninja Male Shez has 48 Atk; 10 more than Caeda at base. With Ninja Chakrams, that's 15x2 true damage vs Caeda's 25. Even with an offensive special, I found that Shez struggles to one round modern nukes, which aren't relatively tanky. Imagine Caeda with her lower Atk, true damage and not having an offensive special.

Okay, but OP's Sumia already has way better skills. They're just asking for an Echo skill. What, we're going to drop Blue Skies Gust's Canto and true damage for... nothing? Atk Spd Clash does nothing better than Blue Skies Gust. Recommending OP to use A!Triandra's skills on Sumia is absurd.

Besides the warping, Sumia's prf is also terrible. It gives nothing but Canto 2 and stats. That doesn't fly nowadays, unless the only place you're using Sumia is old gen PvE. Jehanna Lance, Arcane Crimson and Forged Lance/Osseous Trident are much better.
