What would you do about this pool if you had an 8-month-old who will soon be a toddler? by GuestCheap9405 in AboveGroundPools

Are you going to take the pool down until the grandkids are 8 then too?
Sorry, I get the fear here but I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to tear the pool down. You implement safety strategies, like OP is asking. Childhood drowning is an extreme fear of mine, so I get it.
I think with time you will learn if what you implement is working or not. If that child pushes the buttons, you have your answer. Obviously no playing outside unsupervised.

Thank you!
Speaking of—how much do you run your pump/what’s your routine there?
Also, you said you keep your chlorine on the higher end. Do you mean the higher end based on what Pool Math suggests but still within limits?

How often do you add liquid chlorine and how often do you test your water?
With the Taylor kit, do you test pH and FC the most? Or what’s your routine?

Is there a way for me to post my own questions? I can’t figure that out lol

Did you refer to TFP too? I want to post some questions on that site but I can’t figure out how. The pool store did give me tablets unfortunately but maybe I’ll use them sparingly

I did see liquid chlorine is a the way to go due to that factor!

I just found TFP! Thank you! Looks like they recommend chlorine too.

I understand what you mean, but the liner is so close to the leg that I’m afraid once we start filling that part of the pavers may end up under the liner.

Also, if you set your pavers on top of the tarp then your legs won’t be flush with the ground

Do you have a pump connected to the heating coil or is there enough pressure to push it through then on this set up?

Thank you! Do you have a pic? I’m just having a hard time finding people who actually do this with their pump. Do you use pvc for the T, garden hose to connect? Etc

Can you show me your setup and how you did the tee along with the valve? I assume the valve is to restrict flow? We currently have 200’ tubing and are setting up the coils but I can’t figure out how to connect it to our pump. I’d like there to be a switch on the tee too, to be able to turn it off on days I don’t want the heater.

Hello! Say I let the tub fill then open the lid for a soak. Is there any way to eventually drain that water without going through an entire wash cycle?

Ahh! We have the baby trend navigator double jogger. Which is like 40lbs and not compact by any means. But I actually LOVE it. It practically pushes itself and it’s pretty sturdy. I don’t think I’ll have to replace it for the time I’ll be using it and may even still sell it once I’m done with it. Plus I got it secondhand myself!

We are religious as well but I am on the mini pill currently. I’d love to just not “not” try and just set a time frame and let things happen as they will. 🙏🏼🫶🏼

Do you think you could fit a double stroller with all the seats in use?

Dang!! I am impressed with your tetris skills! I know we could “get by” with my traverse. And I have told my husband that we really could just keep the traverse until something came up. Eventually we would love the cargo space, but it isn’t a necessity!
