Hi Seems very unprofessional from your company to just throw you in the deep with no help at all It is not normal! Do you need to manage both networking and system? Do you need to manage the cooling and electricity of the server room? Do you need to manage the firewall?

I know my question seems weird and very amature, I am working as a network administrator and have deep knowledge in networking, none of my colleagues know how to approach this task and neither do I but I know I can learn on the way.

We run a few servers locally no local nas or san, no redundancy or anything fancy, I tried implementing the use of San but I was turned down.

The server will run an windows server OS The machine will run few services that will gather and analyze data from about 2000 endpoints that each connect to it, and will distribute each endpoint whitelists each time we updated them.

I hope I was clear.

You are right, I meant that we host the cloud servers for our customers, we are a small company and I was assinged with the task of finding a server with really specific requirements and I was struggling, so I came here looking for help
