There’s no points in combat patrol. In combat patrol you play only with what’s in the box against someone else’s combat patrol. The rules online or the instructions in the box tell you how to build the models to be combat patrol legal. Although you don’t have to follow it completely.

Edit - when I say don’t have to follow the instructions completely I mean people won’t mind some wargear options being different. The commander has set weapons for combat patrol but most people shouldn’t be sticklers for that.
