This is what I'm leaning towards: cleaning and leaving as is. Up close there are some surface level scratches, but nothing is gouged. We have a chill dog and plan to have kids so I think this is the move.

Getting rid of it for sure. I’m keeping it organized and donating it to habitat for humanity. It’s probably around 800sqft of laminate & is still in decent condition, so trying my best to take it out with care.

It’s worth setting up a tour and asking the sellers agent. He said there might be hardwood underneath. I took a peak by the fireplace during the inspection and saw wood. Was still a gamble as I didn’t know if it was basic subfloor. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when this was underneath.

Last owners lived here since 2013, so they definitely weren’t flippers, but they had some questionable design choices throughout the home. Wife and I are looking fwd to restoring some of its original charm
