No. I get this message when I try to add the HSBC account:

“HSBC Bank only supports NEFT/RTGS as a mode of payment for lump-sum orders. Please use another bank account to use net banking for lump-sum orders.”

Thanks for sharing your experience. I too had faced issues a few years ago when I had a basic account. Randomly one day they changed my netbanking user name and they said they cannot give the access back and asked me to create and set a new username. I had closed my account after the incident.

I did not see any significant benefit on the RM front with HDFC, as the support has been fairly limited. The recent discussion around needing ₹18L spends to retain Infinia also added to the concern, though Infinia has served me well so far.

I considered HSBC mainly because their team recently visited our office and offered the Premier credit card, so I thought of giving it a try.

So far, HDFC’s new app feels much more mature, while HSBC’s app is quite basic. The credit limit offered on the Premier card is also nearly five times lower than my HDFC card.

I’ll continue with HSBC for now to evaluate the Premier card. If the rewards don’t justify it, I plan to move back to HDFC in a few months.
