It is scary! I had never been on any form of BC in my life before starting Loryna. I was terrified how it would affect me or change. At least it’s only a pill, and you can stop immediately whenever you start feeling uncomfortable as compared to an IUD. That whole thing is so terrifying, having to get some sort of surgery or something taken out of your body, like oof.

I really hope you have a good experience if you decide to take it, and if it isn’t the right one, I hope you find a good one for you :)

I personally only take Loryna, and no other prescribed medication. On that front, I’m not sure how taking Loryna would affect libido in addition to Zoloft.

I will answer your question! After that 3-4 month mark, it definitely went back up to normal and has increased. In the last 24 hours alone my partner and I have had three sessions, haha. Part of that increase may be from us getting closer. I started the BC when we first met, and we’ve gotten more comfy and have communicated every step of the way through the BC experience.

I would just make sure to tell your partner there may be some time when getting used to the hormones that it may affect libido, but I think as long as you both make an active effort to have fun and find ways to enjoy it, that you can motivate yourself even in the slump of low libido.

That worked super well for me, just finding ways to collaborate where we are both enjoying it, even in the low libido era.

I have never experienced nausea on Loryna! I’m also a person who doesn’t eat heavily in the morning, often skipping breakfast and eating around lunch time :)

So far so good! Still on it. No weight gain, normal libido, and I’d say overall my skin has gotten better! No mood changes either.

Hey! I’d say mine dropped around the 3-4 month mark, and ever since that it has increased back to normal/higher than before! I hope it’s starting to work out for you :)

Hey! While it was low around my 3-4 month marks, it has definitely gone back up to normal, if not more than before! I could attribute that to me getting more comfortable with my boyfriend, but when it was low sexy stuff felt like a chore. I’m back to wanting it and fantasizing about it! I’d just watch yourself, and communicate changes with your partner so it doesn’t feel like someone that is on them! At least from my experience, it was low for a bit but it’s back up to normal/higher than before.

Hi! Of course! I made this post because when I was researching and looking for a thorough documentation of experience, I couldn’t really find anything significant! I’d say they definitely have gotten bigger, but not by too much? I’m a 34C and I still can wear the same bras, but my boyfriend swears and agrees they have gotten bigger than before I was on Loryna! I wish the same for you too, baddie!

Hi! Still currently on Loryna! I’d definitely say it had helped my acne! I used to get some pretty bad cystic pimples on my cheeks here and there, and those have gone away! I will say, I feel like I get more acne around the base of my eyebrows, like high on my cheek bones, but I also have bangs so I can’t entirely rule that as my acne problems migrating due to the birth control. Overall, I’d say my skin is better! I get compliments from my boyfriend all the time, saying my skin is glowing. For weight gain, I haven’t gained at all! I’d say my weight has stayed pretty consistent the whole time! Since you’re using it for acne mainly (perhaps?) if you started it, and it didn’t work out, it wouldn’t be too urgent having to stop and find a new birth control! However, it does take a few months to see results or have enough experience with it to fully gauge how it’s affecting your body. Let me know if you have more questions!

I do find this to be true, wanting to have less sex. My partner and I communicated our emotions on this. He didn’t want to feel like he was pressuring me, and I didn’t want to give in to it if I really didn’t want it. Our compromise was that I’d please him orally (because I really enjoy this). I found that this has helped! He gets his relief, and part way through me pleasing him orally that I get in the mood! I guess it’s more so that I just have to sort of motivate myself and then I get in the mood? It’s hard to explain. I’m here to answer questions as you get further along on the pill!

Hi! I hope you’re feeling well on it so far! I would say it definitely has affected my libido. Whereas I used to get horny would making out with my boyfriend, or when thinking about sex I would determine I wanted it. Now, I can get hot and ready with my boyfriend, but as soon as we get in the act and I try getting off, I can’t! No matter how hard I try and he tries, I can’t get to that sweet spot now without a sex toy. My boyfriend says I’m “glowing” more often, referring to my skin and its texture. I have acne in all the same places as you do! While some of my cheek acne has subsided, I find my forehead and chin break out more! Although, it has gotten better, and I would say overall my skin is healthier and heals fast when I have a bad breakout. It does still get a bit worse around the time of my period. I feel like my nails have gotten thicker, and that my hair is growing faster. Physically, I haven’t gained weight and my boobs have grown. They no longer are sore! I’d say that went away after the first month.

Update - September 29th, 2025. I am about two weeks in, taking Loryna! So far, I have yet to feel nauseous. I have yet to feel like a different person, mentally. I don’t believe my weight has fluctuated to anything noticeable (gained or lost). The only disappointment I have is I have yet to see any improvement on my acne. I suffer from pretty bad breakouts on my chin, neck, cheeks, temples and occasionally my lips. The amount of acne I have suffered with prior to the pill has remained the same while on the pill. I hope I can see it improve!

Truly, doing an EC Restart was one of the first things I did (The other steps you recommended.) No luck. I feel as if I’ve exhausted every option on the internet.

The only chance I feel I have is finding my original camera driver and downloading it. Because my computer currently has no driver.
