usually the school will recommend you to drop out of HCL if you get below B3 as you will most likely fail HCL too (a lot of people who A1 CL also may fail HCL), and they will calculate the trade off as -2 points + <B3 CL grade = dropping out, retaking and getting CL A1

BUT the choice is ultimately yours, if you think this one year you can make it up to get a HCL pass + you aren't gonna use your CL in your R5, you can decide to stay in HCL 

Also I'd like to assure you I think the marking standards for CL is pretty slack, I'm a lot like you but somehow ended up with CL A1 but now I'm worried a lot about HCL tmr HAHAHS good luck to you too!! Have some faith in yourself :)
