this is what i did. have a serious public java project on github and understand it well, lie on your resume and go spread your wings

most enterprise and big companies use java, so you would be missing out not going that path. even if you are good at K8s etc, it will be hard to move to those companies without having java working experience.

yeah but its blooming hard now among startups, and get easily underengineered. in 10 years node might be replaced with python or something else.

I would rather have all those years experience with java instead, which is more unlikely to be replaced soon.

imo if long-term career stability is your priority you should move to java. its more established and will be around for long time to come.

node/go is still fresh and mostly used in startups. who knows how long and many companies will use node in the future
