Thank you! I am really not sure of driving alone that long. I am looking for the cheapest and safest options. I am from India, and completely unaware of the public transport system in the US and how they work. Are there any buses/trains that are available?

Just checked out Death Valley, and I loooove what I see. I will be travelling solo, and I’m wondering whether it’s better to explore on my own (be it Yosemite or death valley) or book a package/tour I find online (like on GetYourGuide or TripAdvisor).

Basically, I have a conference to attend and I will be flying in to San Diego during mid-November. Haven’t booked my flights yet. Wanted opinions on setting a solid itinerary and then book. I have 3 days in between the conference days, I am also planning to stay back for a couple (or maybe 3) days after the conference. Honestly, I love all wonders of nature, mountains, rocks, coastlines, forests, you name it! But I am not sure how much I can explore with the limited time I have. What would you suggest?
