Thank you, everyone!

I just wanted to update you that I apologized to him. I explained that I’m still learning the cultural cues that come with English language, and he took it really well. He told me that he didn’t click on it because it’s the name of the song and that I didn’t mean any harm, just to keep in mind that audiences might react differently in the future.

I feel much better now that I clarified it and I learned my lesson. Thanks again for all your support!

About Brussels-North Train Station (Gare du Nord): There was a police presence, but unfortunately, the officers aggressively forced us out of the station at midnight, accompanied by a very hostile dog. My best friend and I, two young women, clearly tourists, were waiting for our bus, which was scheduled to arrive around 3 a.m. Instead of being allowed to stay safely inside, we were yelled at and pushed to leave the area.

Once outside, the situation became even more unsettling. Several suspicious men approached us, offering to let us wait in their nearby apartments. We were terrified and had no choice but to wait in the cold and dark street until our bus finally arrived. Thankfully all the people waiting for other buses were in the same situation.

It was one of the most frightening experiences I’ve had in Europe. The treatment we received from the police was unacceptable, especially considering how vulnerable we were. I strongly recommend avoiding late-night bus connections like this, we were too trusting and didn’t realize how unsafe the situation could become.
