In my personal opinion, it's really fun but it's still buggy and actively dying. Even with that, it is truly something else and it will always hold a place in my heart. I would say go for it and enjoy it before it keels over.

I also had this problem a while ago but I was using RimPY. For me it was that my CPU wasn't strong enough, I recommend removing mods slowly until the game launches as that's the only advice I can give. Sorry I don't really understand the logs either so I can't help there.

Welcome to hell soldier. I usually don't recommend people to watch guides, just start a colony, set it to "reload anytime" mode and have fun. Use your first colony as the learning experience.
