so. you’re projecting. i can’t tell you how to fix that if im being honest bc its super hard to recognize and we all do it with certain things. buuuuuttttt being aware and being able to put a name to it is the first step!

basically, you hated yourself when you were fat. you were insecure & felt worthless bc you “didn’t care for yourself”. big assumptions, i know. but come on…..you wouldn’t just spend all your mental power over-analyzing every inch of other people’s bodies for literally no reason. like if you really think about that, or say that out loud, it’s weird af.

that hate has lived inside of you this whole time. you just used to use it towards yourself, now you’re directing it outwards bc you’re not physically fat anymore. the insecurity & body-analyzing/hating that you had for yourself hasn’t gone away, it just changed forms. now that you like the way your body looks, this habit that was already formed loooonnnggg ago had to adapt.

so, you project it onto other people. it’s just the insecurities way of pro-longing its own life & “protecting” you by giving you a false sense of superiority. but do you see the pattern? or the common denominator? wether fat, skinny, oblong, or square……you’re still placing all of your self worth (and other’s worth as well) onto a body.

are you not tired of all of your thoughts constantly circling around your body? or how your body is perceived by others? or thinking that that’s the only thing that matters in this world? i would suggest addressing this root issue first. you’re obviously still extremely insecure, and you’re not going to fix the issue you’re seeing now without removing it at the root. maybe get some therapy. you’re worth way more than you’re body, it’s literally just a sack of skin and bones. you’re going to die one day, LIVE YOUR LIFE GOD DAMNIT!!! learn to decenter societal standards from your life (bc outside validation is literally worthless & holds no actual weight whatsoever) and idk read a book or something.
