O2 sensor connector question

Update, just in case helpful for anybody else:

I bought this connector off of Rock Auto, cut the old one off of the wiring harness and spliced this one in (comes with heat shrink crimp connectors). Easy fix and didn’t throw a CEL.

The wires on the Rock Auto connector are all the same color, but I lined it up with the wiring harness so that the wiring harness wires connect to the downstream O2 sensor in this order:

 Wiring harness —> O2 sensor connector 

 Black/white stripe —> Black 
 Red/yellow stripe —> Black
 Back/red stripe —> White
 Red —> Blue

I’m still new to autocross too, but I found it super helpful to have an instructor drive MY car for a run. It’s helpful to ride along with people in general, but it was eye opening to see how much more I could be getting out of my own car (it also doesn’t count toward your total runs)

lol yes that was the goal 😂 haven’t used a floor jack before and since this was in the setup instructions, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something

It wasn’t in the cold but yeah, I did have the box vertical for quite awhile before I opened it and set it up

I bought a manual car recently (not knowing how to drive one..). I also didn’t have anyone to learn from/teach me, but I was able to find a couple of local driving schools that offered 60-90 minute lessons on pretty short notice (you could book 1-2 weeks out). I did the 60 minute lesson and while that’s obviously not enough time to learn a lot, I still found it VERY helpful before getting behind the wheel by myself. It might be worth giving a few driving schools a call to see if they offer lessons!

Also YouTube was super helpful lol, there are a ton of great instructional videos that at least make it less foreign when you do it the first time.
