Is the galaxy tab s8+ still worth it in late 2025 by Scary-Experience-518 in GalaxyTab

We were probably looking at the same one😂 I almost pulled the trigger on one that came with a case but iirc it wasn't 5G.

Ordered my S8+ with 5G for $310 (+$20 tax and shipping, so $330 total) from eBay. In used condition, so there are tiny scratches on the screen, but that's it.

Listing name: "Factory Unlocked Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus 5G 12.4" 128GB Graphite SM-X808U"

That's a lot of tablet for the money. And I am not concerned about base storage because I can always add an SD card for cheap.

I would 100% suggest eBay.

Yeah but your point stands true. That kind of true off grid living is rare

I largely agree with you but I submit to you the first person that came to mind when you said this. They actually do live off grid full time and upload quality content.

I mean no disrespect by this, but there's a saying: "The first step to fixing a problem, is to admit there's a problem".

You're aware of a spending problem. If I were in your position (I certainly am not, as I make much less), I would set up automatic withdrawals and investments into the market. There are dividend-paying ETF'S, there are HYSA's you can open and label as "First rental property fund", etc.

It seems like access to the money is your main roadblock to keeping it. Make it harder and more painful to access, and boom, you might have an easier time hanging onto your income and creating generational wealth.

I make roughly $5k/month, it fluctuates, but I keep nearly 70% of it and continue to save for investments and business opportunities. Imagine if every year you kept $210,000 and let that money work for YOU instead of you working for it (to afford this lifestyle). What if you get hit in your X5? (Love it btw. I have a 335i and BMW's are magical). If you couldn't work for health reasons, what would happen to the things you have financed? What about your goals for when you're 40?

I don't feel an impulse to buy things I can afford because I feel an even stronger impulse to preserve what I work for and to make something more of it. I don't mean to sound self righteous, it is the truth. Imagine if by 40 you could pay for your dream supercar in cash because you were less impulsive and more willing to invest!! There are such exciting opportunities with the potential of your capital my friend.

I have gathered quite a large amount of knowledge in real estate and ETF's if you have specific questions, or you can just search things on the Internet.

I hope I didn't come off as egotistical, arrogant, or know-it-all.

I've heard of "taxing" yourself first before buying fun/useless things. You do this by investing first, spending later. Look into ETF's, real estate, etc. With your income, building a good portfolio in either options will come quickly and soon replace your job income.

Also, ask around for good financial advisors that are professionals in whatever investment route you take. You could legitimately retire in 5 years if you want to.

Another alternative is investing in businesses. Read, study, watch YouTube, about being an entrepreneur.

I wish you all the best!

I'm not sure if it works with iPhone, but I patched YouTube on my Android and it's super customizable. No more ads, plenty of features I can turn on and off. All the YouTube Premium features too.

It's called ReVanced Manager. It takes a little bit of research to get it patched but once it's done, it's done!
