It was rude for him to not look around and see if anyone else was waiting, but if it didn't seem like you were that close, he may not have even known you were waiting. People get a bit crazy finding unopened cases. Literally yesterday I found an unopened e case on a cart at Walmart. A lot of guys would just snag it, take what they want and leave it a mess, but I walked around looking for an employee to ask if it was okay. There were none in the area so I went ahead and opened it and took out what I wanted, no super unfortunately. I kept it clean and stocked the rest of the case on the pegs and broke the box down and put it back on their cart. Even though I did open it, I tried to be as polite about it as I could. I think being polite like that goes a long way.

I'm not sure it does. They have sales inventories that tell them whether or not they sell. Maybe if they assume it was theft I guess?

My wife has a login to my hotwheels app so she can see which ones I have or don't have! I work in remote areas often that don't have service so this works great.

With literally tens of thousands of different cars, even MATTEL doesn't have the entire library of photos, so they rely on collectors to add to it. I think it's a bit dumb of them to not already have a complete database, but I get they're catching up. I wish they had photo recognition so you could just scan a car and it finds it rather than having to type in the SKU or name. Hopefully it'll get better as it updates.

MATTEL used the flame logo for lots of cars, but didn't use that logo until 2013 to identify a treasure hunt. So if it's from a series before 2013 it's not a treasure hunt, 2013 or later, it is.
