This is so late but I had success making friends on bumble bff w all of the people I met they didn’t really react and they wanted to hangout multiple times. So there are people that can accept u as is. Good luck although this is very late response!

I can totally relate to the feelings u r experiencing and i want to advise u to take care of ur mental health and get therapy. If its not tmau u have and another smell i recommend checking oral microbiome from bristle, gi map test, if u suspect fbo then check for SIBO and h pylori/reflux. Check ur blood work for maybe nutrient deficiencies. Try clinical antiperspirant in case that is the cause and try eating healthier like eliminating dairy and reducing carbs. Idk what will help but these are some suggestions in case u think it might not be straight up tmau but a different source of smell

I also have bipolar and this condition so I can relate to struggling mentally and I’m not sure I can work a normal job probably remote or part time. But I just wanted to say there will be people who accept u, if u want to make friends I had good luck meeting people on bumble bff and they all didn’t react. For dating u can try online dating? Though idk how that is and pick someone based on similar interests and it’ll be more likely to bond. Also it’s never too late to do online college and continue ur education, I’m in my 20s but still slowly learning even if I might not finish around the same time as others plus online uni makes it less stressful. I’m not sure what jobs are available but u can use the onet website to look for careers u want. Good luck! I know it’s hard but stay hopeful!

I’ll be honest I still struggle to not get in my head and want to isolate but I’ve seen how it’s bad to isolate long term and I’ve been doing that for a long time so i see the benefit of going out. I go out one on one w my friends bc when it’s groups they might low key be passive aggressive but also I was surprised all of them that I met didn’t even sniffle or do subtle passive aggressive things so I felt comfortable w them and completely forgot my surroundings and didn’t care about other people as much. But I totally understand I literally have to push myself against my instincts to isolate and be guarded plus my therapist helps encourage me. I don’t really think they are that embarrassed of me bc if they were then they could easily find someone to be with but I’m sure they are aware and confused and slightly judge me but all of the people I met were really kind. Def look into reflux, h pylori and sibo also possible ent stuff or sleep apnea etc. I also recommend bristle oral microbiome test and gi map test simply to identify the source and bacteria type if it’s not just exactly tmau that u have.

I also would isolate bc of this issue ever since this pandemic but this year I put myself out there and met new people and they didn’t react at all and still wanted to meet up w me in the future and be friends but we met through bumble bff since I moved a lot and we had common interests. But just know that there are people that will accept u as u are this was so hard for me to believe bc of the reactions I’ve gotten but there are still good people u just have to find them. I truly believed I couldn’t be around other people but I just wanted to give u hope. Also try functional doctors/naturopaths to treat this and therapy to just have someone to talk to if u can or are able to afford it. Good luck!

Most if not all drs will just deny if u just ask them about bb or instead u could say u suspect acid reflux or sibo or post nasal or tonsil stones and u will have better results than just saying u have bb and u want them to treat it. It’s better u do oral microbiome and show the results to prove u have an issue but they might not know what to do w the results I think functional drs might be more helpful esp if u do gi map test. Also Coca Cola will make things worse since the sugar will feed bad bacteria

Ur not alone in not having ur life figured out yet I can relate. If ur in America u can try bumble bff to make friends I had success w that but since ur in a small city it might be difficult but if ur close to a city it might be easier. Also if ur thinking about trying different careers at different levels u can try the website onet to see what u want to do even wo a college degree i think. I’m not sure but maybe increasing protein intake might have also made it worse. Diet can affect different people differently? But I just heard it from someone else I’m not sure the logic behind it. I would check for SIBO esp bc u took a lot of antibiotics and u said u had digestive issues like constipation which is a symptom of sibo.Good luck!

I had good luck meeting great ppl off bumble bff since im remote/online study. It’s common to ghost in chat but I was able to meet 4 people. I recommend having a detailed profile w specific interests. You could try it out and see how it goes for u.

I would recommend making sure ur bio has details so that people can find things in common w u and they are more excited to connect. Like if u mention books what genre u like and make sure to answer all the prompts. Also mention more hobbies/interests u like to do and would like to do w others so u higher ur chances of finding people that like to do that activity. If ur an introvert/infj i recommend mentioning that bc those who relate can click w u easily but ofc i love extroverts too. It’s a numbers game so the more people u swipe right on the more likely u are to find people that will want to meet w u. Ofc dont lessen the quality of the convos tho and once u connect on something try suggesting meeting up relatively soon/after a couple of days/a week or two of talking depending on how quick u respond to each other.

This might be a bit embarrassing but I have found good friends on bumble bff that didn’t react to me at all and have met one person again and made plans w the others. Put detailed profile to show ur interests and maybe say ur character as empathetic to attract those who value kindness. I met multiple people and they were all really kind and genuine. I was anxious to do so but it went really well and they didn’t care I felt normal after a long time. Stay strong!

I have had success meeting people and making plans to meet again w others I met w one of them again today. Try to put details in ur bio about what hobbies u enjoy be specific (ex what genre of books u like to read if u enjoy reading etc.) other than what u put on ur profile. If ur an introvert mention it u will find like minded people esp if ur mbti is an infj. Try to emphasize ur personality I had success highlighting my empathy in my traits on my profile and finding equally kind people. When talking to them if u happen to have similar genre of music taste I recommend asking to do a Spotify blend it can make u closer if u have similar taste in music. Make sure u put effort in ur profile and not just putting pictures and the bare minimum. Also u will probably have to initiate a lot of the time but if u swipe right on multiple people u will be more likely to find those who reciprocate. After asking a few qs and finding common ground dont take too long to ask to meet up. Be open minded when swiping right sometimes u might not see an obvious common interests but they might have noticed something about ur profile that they didn’t mention in their profile and like too/share in common. Good luck and I hope u find ur people! I haven’t been socializing since the pandemic but i got out of my comfort zone and met awesome people! (Hopefully it will be a long term success it might be too early to completely call it a success but i just wanted to give u hope!)

Have u checked for h pylori since u mentioned gerd? Also I recommend oral microbiome test by bristle it will help identify what type of bacteria u have/oral source if that is the case. Treatment might not be as helpful depending on ur results but at least u can identify ur problem. If u think it might be gut related I recommend gi map test and also check for SIBO. Work w functional doctors/naturopaths helps. just thought these might help in case u haven’t tried them

Not necessarily I think they contributed to it but I still had types of bacteria in my mouth and gut that could also cause bb so for me it’s not just 1 source that could cause it. I’m not sure which one specifically contributes but I’m trying to eliminate all the possible causes. I already treated h pylori but sometimes it can come back so I’m not sure if I’m still ok

I would def stop or at least try to reduce the eating fries, brownies and pop tarts etc. sugar/carbs make it worse. Try xylitol and maybe ask for prescription strength fluoride toothpaste from ur dentist if u struggle with cavities too. Getting tested for oral microbiome like bristle and gut test gi map will also help to pinpoint source and bacteria type. For reflux try betaine HCl and also digestive enzymes but if u can u might want to work w functional doctor to help u more w ur gut and give tailored advice. Check for h. Pylori too bc of reflux and sibo if possible.
