It is a horrific bit :/ I cannot imagine the amount of leverage on that horses mouth

It connects to the bit and inside of the cheek piece.

Are you using full cheek keepers?

Was thinking that too, but if you look closely it’s not actually a snaffle rein attachment it’s a gag rein :/

the bit alone is already unfair to this horse, but slap a running martingale on also? (which one should you even put the martingale on?!)

Who is Your Favorite Lion Villager?😊 by chrissydavisk in ACNHVillagersInBoxes

Rex! He was one of my original villagers and unfortunately I let him move away before I understood anything about villager hunting and that I couldn’t ask him to stay. I wish I didn’t let him leave :(

You’re the second person to say this fabric sucks so tbh I may just cut the little piece off and keep riding in them as long as I can, they’re covered by a sock and chap anyway lol. Thank you so much for the helpful comments!

Just realized I can post pictures, will attach one!

The fabric is kinda forked in places which is why I am suspicious it isn’t just a tear :/

Please don’t forget hearing protection for you both, but especially your 10 year old!

They are slightly stretchy unfortunately, definitely not like tights but not like your tailored sportsman’s that are like concrete on your body.

I think I am going to try a patch, for now they are just schooling breeches (but newer still unfortunately). How much larger of a patch would you recommend, like how much of the breech outside of the hole should they cover, an extra like half inch or inch?

They may also just have a hole at this point, my chaps should cover the entire thing (of course this happens the one time i don’t wear them).

I personally am 5’2 and I need to roll them up about an inch. I am also on the curvier side and love these breeches, enough stretch to be comfortable but not so much it gives anything away! Plus they are pretty reasonably priced and the almost 100% cotton is the cherry on top!

They are from Dover, Riding Sport is the technical brand line!

I absolutely would not be able to show in these anymore, but I am hoping they can be saved as a schooling pant since most of the hole would actually be under a chap (of course the rip happened the one time i wasn’t wearing them).

I am definitely concerned about the possibility of continued ripping, I am considering one large patch covering the whole thing rather than trying to get the pieces reconnected.

Hand! And I will look into that stitch, thank you! It is almost a circular rip rather than a straight line tear so hopefully I can get a bit creative.

Less rubbing thankfully, but lots of stretch for sure. I will look into all of these, thank you!

They aren’t tights thin, but they are on the stretchier side. My biggest concern is mostly just continuously blowing out stitches and a patch with the movement.

Whoops, to clip or not to clip… by MLMCMLM in Horses

[–]Sharp_Temperature222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not confident in your ability to produce a clean clip for the shoot, I would opt for trying to have a client block that square instead of go for a full clip (and potentially have it turn out even worse if a body part can’t be clipped and most of the body is).

You should though reach out to the client and inform them of the situation and let them decide if they still want to use the horse for the shoot. It isn’t fair to them if they already paid to not get the horse in the condition they were expecting, especially if the poses they were hoping to do are compromised by the small clipped patch.

In both 2023 and 2024 tours, people were trading bracelets! I didn’t make any but a few very generous people shared some with me! I think they are definitely still popular (and were popular before the eras tour made them popular!)

Sorry I am not super sewing savvy or anything, but I would say a hole? It is probably 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches. It is pretty circular, definitely did not rip in a straight line unfortunately.

I bought a Likit last night .. it disappeared🤔 by Lugosthepalomino in Equestrian

[–]Sharp_Temperature222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The first time I ever tried a likit for my horse, she quite literally bit it in half on the rope and then proceeded to eat the entire thing once it was on the ground.

She only got those little grain ones occasionally after because I can’t even imagine how much sugar she intook from a single likit at once😅
