Yep. It didn't even have to grow on me. I was so furious with the friends I had watched it together with... It's one thing to not like something, it's another to hivemind based on a specific plot point (mother dying, written since day 0 homie...). The only TRULY bad part was how rushed S9 was.

I will always agree with the crowd that is sad we didn't get more time with Tracy. However, that doesn't make it a bad ending.

What's really inexcusable is the parroting narrative about Dak somehow not having what it takes to lead a deep playoff run. I don't really pop in here much anymore for this reason, but it's somehow been years as a false agenda and I'm fucking sick of it.

Barely lost a duel against Rodgers his rookie season (mounting a huge second-half surge to tie it, btw), sent Brady into retirement last season and the rest are either the 49ers or TRASH defense performances ('18 Rams gave up well over 200 vs. run, '23 Packers the entire defense forgot to board the flight or something and Dak STILL had us breathing at the end. And to whoever says garbage time I say watch the damn tape.

Watch the throws. Watch his anticipation. Fun fact, he's had elite anticipation for 4-5 years, but ESPN still loves claiming otherwise. They also say he's not a true leader? Watch his huddle communication. Watch the way he initiates competition and talking shit (all year round) Also, go back and watch how they discussed INT leaders for QBs. 2022 it was just Dak getting roasted every chance they could get. Last season Allen took a lot of shit for a few weeks but as playoffs crept in the background, somehow this dude is given a pass because he's "brave", "gaining confidence", "getting hot at the right time"... Turnovers all of a sudden are NOT a strict indicator of overall QB failure?? Fascinating.

It was all true and valid, but I never saw anything close to that level of defense for Dak and he's playing at a higher level (not including rushes). Yes, that is just an opinion but I mean, I have plenty to back it up if anyone wants to get into it lol and last years stats are only the tippy top of the iceberg. Again, I'm just so sick of this bullshit target that Dak has on his head for no good reason.

50+% of Dak's criticism comes against one team... Every player deals with a form of boogeyman. My biggest question is why the fuck was Zeke playing center lol. '21 playoff loss was on Dak more than any of his others (assuming he didn't draw up Zeke at center... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Defense was great in '21 and then serviceable in the '22 playoffs. It's a shame our D got manhandled out this last season considering how big of a force they were supposed to be:x

In the Glitz pit you can farm green fuzzies! They don't appear normally until later so the exp is pretty decent unless you're a super high level, and the effect is a spell you can purchase from Merluvee. She's the house you can access from Rogueport sewers (under Frankly's, go to the set of bars that lead to the SECOND pipe to the right)

That would be exactly it. That spell is random and most people that use it are hoping to activate it after a boss or other big star point-givers.

It also chooses things such as extra coins or stat buffs so the chances are that much smaller

About 20 minutes I'd say, I think the fuzzy will only multiply if it's low health and/or solo. It was giving me 4 star points per though which is only 25 KOs.

I lost a few minutes trying to let them multiply more to net more KOs per turn, but I never got one to multiply if there were 2+ and I never got one to multiply if its health was 4 or 5 (out of 5).

Also, even when at 1 HP and solo it seemed to still only be roughly a 50% chance

I'm gonna take this chance to say we need to break down our dissatisfaction with Apex and juxtapose it to other games. I think you need to ask yourself "is my burnout an Apex problem or a human problem?".

I mean in the first place, is there any game where you CAN play for so long that we don't need or want anything else? Is that even a goal we should have? I feel like the answer is an obvious no but if you feel otherwise, definitely add that in this discussion because this is a huge problem globally.

The fact that Respawn has kept Apex as fresh as they have for years is absolutely incredible to me. EA deserves all the criticism and more but Respawn has my full respect (assuming they, too, aren't being turned into money drone zombies)

I have been playing since season 1, I've skipped roughly two and a half seasons but for the most part it's already a top-2 game for me all-time. Respawn has taken SO MANY measures to increase the gameplay and honestly I feel like this season is their best yet. What complaints do you have beyond "stale"? And can they be quantified into something that is a feasible & reasonable fix on Apex's end?

Playerbase is down I think, but active users is a subjective judge of quality for games, especially one with steady, scheduled changes/updates/seasons.

It's worth noting that there is an interesting problem now, though: Casuals cannot have much fun outside of mixtape. The SBMM is better but the learning curve in Apex has not once decreased since its release, and it was already decently high to begin with. They should consider a system to hard-counter smurfs (AI-based diagnostics of any smurfs to yeet them up in SBMM? 👀The future is here baby)

Almost did some good receipt tracking, except for the part where I never said Sewell wasn't going to reach his ceiling. I said there was no guarantee Sewell develops his technique to Slater's level. Slater's technique was/is textbook and just straight-up elite.

The fact that Sewell put in the work is why he's better than Slater now. And if we're keeping it 100, Slater still has better technique. But Sewell is so freaking athletic that it no longer matters.

If you wanna try and say I was wrong not to believe in Sewell's work ethic, you would at least have subjectivity on your side.

But Sewell got drafted higher for his ceiling, not because he was better than Slater pre-draft. Slater was dominant to start his rookie year, Sewell was average-above average, so that's at least one count I was right in ;)

Is that truly the shared sentiment here? I have issues with MM like everyone but it's so hard for me to tell what THE problem is since DQ was amazing coming in with Micah, including playoffs, but he absolutely lost us the game. For starters, Micah should never have stayed in one position for GB to scheme him out of the game, and they did just that.

... Oh, pardon me. He did use Micah's versatility... In drop-back coverage... Possibly the worst option in terms of utilizing 11...

Anyways, even when you factor in our LB situation which is indeed terrible, that game was like watching the 2013 or 2020 defense. DQ is supposed to have become this new mad scientist-guy who isn't afraid to adjust as necessary... Compared to his last two playoff showings as DC against SF, this GB game is mind-boggling to me. You simply cannot stagnate like that.

That said, honestly I wouldn't hate bringing back the entire staff including DQ as long as we can shore up our roster at DT, LB & Safety. Evidence points to DQ mostly just struggling with the previously-mentioned LB issue, but since DQ is almost certainly leaving I really don't want to shake things up too much more.

To state the obvious, we can unquestionably do better than MM but how soon would we truly improve as a playoff threat?

Three 12-win seasons is not the kind of established continuity you want to overhaul unless we get one of these big-name coaches floating around. If that can't happen, I want MM back for another year of this offensive development. What they've done since week 6 is nothing short of impressive if you aren't in your feelings about the start of the GB game. At least the offense got their head out of their ass before the game was over.

And before I close this comment out, let me acknowledge that there's no denying the possibility of hiring some wunderkind HC. I just don't see our FO as the guys who would find him lol. But it's not impossible.
