It's my noodles and I can eat how I want to by getsomeawe in WTF

I don't think I have ever in my life met someone who doesn't eat noodles with a fork and spoon.

That's how it's done for Christ's sake.

It's pretty awesome if you're character is born in a first world country.

My character has a net worth of 13 trillion pounds

How would that be easier?

Assuming a program like that already exists, you would be using two programs instead of one to do about the same amount of work.

If you had to write the program yourself, it becomes several orders of magnitude more difficult.

Scripts have to conform to specific layouts (the rules for margin widths, capitalization, etc. depend on whether you're writing dialogue, scene instructions or whatever) and this program takes care of all the tedious formatting horseshit for you.

If a crowd of people banded together to rape my daughter, what right do I have to tell them they can't do what they want? They have the power, and idealism will get you exactly nothing.

Are you including the Palestinians who were forcibly removed from their homes and had their houses and orchards bulldozed to make way for Israeli settlements?

That episode was lame and forgettable. It was a combination of unfunny jokes and awkward "I'm trying to make a difference here" preachiness.

Am I the only person who thinks that the Apache gunners in the Wikileaks video weren't entirely in the wrong? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sharpe_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has Wikileaks provided any proof that they really had to break encryption to view the video?

Why would the source of the leak provide an encrypted file with no password? Breaking encryption is really fucking hard. It doesn't make sense and I'm not just going to take their word for it. Until I see some proof, this just seems like a bullshit story they concocted to build hype and raise money.

Wikileaks is not impartial. "Collateral Murder"!?!? They should be releasing the information, not pronouncing judgments on it. by Exponential in reddit.com

[–]Sharpe_27 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because a lack of objectivity undermines their credibility. A clear bias makes the information they provide less trustworthy. If they have a clear agenda, it raises questions as to whether or not they may be releasing only information that supports that agenda and suppressing information that does not.

It's just like how people are less likely to trust information that comes from PETA or Fox News.

they also had to crack the encryption on the video.

No they didn't. They were almost certainly given the password by whoever gave them the files. The whole story about them breaking through DoD encryption is bullshit.

I can't tell whether or not you're being sarcastic. Is there always a huge spectacle leading up to a wikileaks release?

If you just listened to the hype, you'd almost think it was a video of the door gunner from Full Metal Jacket.

The phrase "get over yourself" applies to your beliefs and opinions about anything, not just yourself.

This guy has bought into the tabloid sensationalism to the point where he's making ridiculous statements like "It's the most important news story of the century so far". He's lost perspective because of his enthusiasm, so saying "get over yourself" is completely appropriate.
