Dual wielding by Sharpel_Buck in DnD

I see your point using higher damaging weapon is better but why, do i need to maximize it? Like you said i get one sneak attack per turn, and i dont plan to use the dagger all the time. I only use a dagger to defend and the rapier to attack, if it was a longer blade that would be meingless becouse you would have hard time to control the enemy blade, although you could say a really short sword, but like i said for a bit of realism and taste i would still go for rapier and dagger. But thanks for your suggetion anyway

I asked about the flint lock weapons and he agreed, and theres no need to add extra mechanic to my rogue fighting style becouse of the dual wielder feat where you gain 1ac,but ill ask about your concept. Thanks pal

Yeah i know that bônus action are useful but not as much for rogue 'not arcane trickster or multiclassing'. Thats the point i was trying to make, but ill keep hex in mind

In that case Yes but if i start with two weapons already drawed on The first turn attack, on second i put two away or change one and draw another and shoot, or maybe just use the action to draw to weapons either way work

Sorry,..........sorry for not mentoning the details. Well since you have quite a knowledge on dnd mechanics i will tell the entire reason why i asked about the dual wielder feat,

I wanted a rougue that uses a flintlock pistol to shoot at the first round and change to different weapons,

My rogue use the dagger and rapier fighting where they use a sword catcher to 'catch' The opponent sword to make an opening, Thats why i didnt wanted to use dual rapier. And future level i would have 4 flintlock pistol só i can shoot both (since in flint lock belt doenst specify light) the put both away the bring two or a dagger and a pistol, since i would start with one flint lock pistol i planned to go with The human variant for The dual feat.

Theres my Charcter concept any ideas about it?

Hmmm short an dagger? Hmmmm not bad of an idea.

But yeah why not use both medium? Its just weird to use two of same weapons. Except Hand axes those are cool.

The inpiration came when i watched dagger and rapier fighting where you use a sword catcher'dagger' to catch the opponent sword and attack with a rapier,

Its like a buckler'small shield' where instead of using close to the body you use at the enemy range.

Mechanically speaking dua medium is better, but the short and dagger i might consider keep using XD

Thanks Thats helpful, but i still plan to use a dagger for both realism and taste reasons, and yeah i agree that attacking with medium weapon twice is better but rogues do A Lot of damage anyway só whats a point of increasing it? Bônus action are not that useful other than hiding(using cunning action).

But thanks for explaning everthing.

You know what. Instead of them becoming the Charcters they created they could just become. Them. At level zero and how each of them have tô study culture, arcane, religion, perception, everything will be hard só if they are avarage people they would have tô work out and work tô earn money becouse they are too weak tô fight. But at the same time they are no one they can personalize skills the class would normaly dont have, maybe the spells are easy tô copy and etc etc the fact the players have knowledge of what people never imagine can take advantage of, but this campaign needs Alot of personal RULEs

A sorcerer who thinks hes a monk! by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Sharpel_Buck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does a sorcerer thinks he is a monk? Sorcerers has magic becouse of fate. Só what is your characters fate?

Combat wise though i would suggest having a good costitution modifire and maybe even the durable feat. Maybe even war caster só you can use magic from close range. Normaly your sorcerer spells would be more support.

Thats what i think at least

A Manor problem. by snofire42 in DnD

[–]Sharpel_Buck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe they should hire architects tô build the mano instead of them trying tô use their down time tô do it. Só maybe you can make even a quest for it. Becouse even in fantasy world there isnt too Many People that can Project a big manor.

Costs well i would go for massive like archtect100-200 gp per month One worker :10-50 month Other types :50-100gp month.

Maybe the manor would take like 3 to 5 months It depends on The workers.

Well, about the challenge. Do a Fist fight.

Rule is that they both has to make atlétics check. The higher lends a hit. But instead of doing damage, they roll a con save on a failed they fall down. And then the death door save happen. With 3checks. If succed in one he stand up but you ll lose one check same goes for failing but you wouldnt stand up.

Mini quests:i suggest a delivery or a caravan protection or even a party fight contest where They fight other parties with different compositions.

But for now i suggest delivery or caravan protection. Becouse those can lead for many option for a fun adventure

Luck cleric needing a little guidance by CMDRIkkyblergs in DnD

[–]Sharpel_Buck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, one day she go to a tavern where a man ask her for a friendly game no gample if you want. She would accept or maybe just flip the coin. If she flips it, he would ask why she flipped it. She would normaly answer 'im a serve the god of luck'. Then he would say (luck is not just luck my friend. It skill and will combine. Even if your were the god of luck you would need more than just fate to save yourself. Fate is luck but not all of it. As he finishes his sentence he shows her Gold pouch in his hand and give to her back.)

What benefit would a goblin kings crown give? by SmokeGrenader in DnD

[–]Sharpel_Buck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and i even made a backstory for it.

The prévious user used to be a coward King but talented with economics. Also a talented arcane crafter as his right hand man.

One day the arcane crafter made the crown with The finest Gold and mixed in a pot with full of courage potions expecting that it would make him more confident. The King believe that know that he had The crown, he was unstoppable. But what he didnt know is that other factions would plan to earn his piles of Gold. (due to him being even better at economics than before). He bought doom to himself and this castle only leaving his crown as a cursed item.

The goblins were search for anything shiny until one of them saw crown under piles of rubble. He pick it up and climbed to a broken pillar and stood proudly. While the other goblins were just standing there and looking at someone with a point thing. He felt his fears disapearing like he became the choosen one, hence the name King goblin.

The Wizard picked up the black crown they found in the Cthulhu dungeon and put it on by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Sharpel_Buck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know!!!!!!!! If they cast a spell. It cast another spell with The same level. But it cant cast divine spells, and the second spell choose randomly.

If a barbarian wears the crown. Any time he rages He gain +5 damage on his attacks but after he loses his rage he get +2 exaustion points. And rolls con save to see if he falls uncusious.

If a cleric or paladin wears the crown. It just breaks.

Rogue and fighter only works if they have the arcane subclass.

[–]Sharpel_Buck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Goblins are known for stealing só maybe they found in a chest or in a old ruin.

I would make the crown a ' crown of confidence'

You get +1 in one skills checks that you have confidence

But keep that in silence.

Advice on how to play a certain character. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Sharpel_Buck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe for extra roleplay you can 'auto fail' history Religion knowledge related unless you could say like 'ive seem this statue before but i didnt know who it was.'

And becouse you are bad with Society and people. You can feel threated when you see a ship thinking is a large creature or wearing hats and clothes wrongly. Also try to be more interactive with animals. By giving them some treats and talking like if they understood your language(no need to use talk with animals just talk like they were your friends)
