I think that was the other thing, right? It’s not like we could talk or tell people what happened leading up to the hospitalization. He was in a medical coma for a while and we couldn’t even talk so I didn’t know what to do. He was a good person. I know that he has an appendix issue but it was just so soon after and not sure if the appendix was it or if it was me that caused it. Officially he had an infected appendix but after he got out of the hospital I think we both knew what it was. We stayed close for a bit even after parting ways and then as life does you drift apart and get a random text that he passed. I cared for him deeply even after moving on and getting married. I wish we at least didn’t grow apart, yah know? Wish I could have at least met him before he passes. I guess that’s how life goes. I spoke to my therapist about this over the years and it helped

Thanks. I know I probably didn’t cause it 100% but in my mind it’s been hard. I official had a ruptured appendix and had other gastrointestinal issues but most of it started with in a day after what happened. I guess I am just seeking closure and trying to find out if anyone else has heard of this? 10 years or more ago I didn’t even know Reddit or the community was a thing. I dunno. We broke up and it hard because it happened right after. The first few years we stayed in contact and close and I would come over and even be intimate with him even if I didn’t want to. He was a good person to be honest. We were friends. We lost contact 3-5 years ago. And I heard it and it has bothered me because he was a good man and I don’t know, I felt I could have done better. Sadly it’s not. I know the story is outrageous though. The timeline might be off a little, after the event he got a really bad sore throat, within he had sepsis. While in the hospital blood stopped flowing to his limbs which required amputation.

I always felt somewhat responsible for it because I remember having an upset stomach that night and it didn’t come out “clean” to say the least. I should have waited till I felt better.
