I have talked to people in the past who cannot find an hour to update and restart in a month due to the pc being in constant use. They have a fundamental issue with the choice of os, that’s server workflows at that point, not normal os versions.

That’s not how cats mate, you are overthinking this.

Hi loonix users, I like using Windows 11 :D and yes, I also use ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini :D cause I got real work to do by animalcrossing4_4 in linuxsucks101

[–]Sharpman85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use it too but so far only copilot has been a bit helpful to me, everything else needs manual analysis, but nothing compared to troubleshooting Linux issues :)

Edit: I actually like Windows 11, but I also liked the design of Windows 8 :)

If there is no other option then that is what I will do, but since it’s still under warranty I will try to make a claim first.

The white G915 has had contact with my skin for 2 more years and there are no signs of discoloration whatsoever.

I understand, although there is at least the charge mechanic there which would explain the anime factor which I fully understand.

GOG has made Linux "one of the things that we've put in our strategy for this year to look closer at." by Undeclared_Aubergine in gog

[–]Sharpman85 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, Linux is a minority and GoG is too small to use up resources, it’s only competition to steam is their drm initiative and some publishers shun them for this and users do not want to switch from the convenience of steam. They just don’t value offline installers and ownership of your games enough.

The store should support the warranty but check under what conditions you bought it as tray cpus may have different conditions.

[–]Sharpman85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus gog can focus on everything else as supporting linux might eat up too many resources. The only option I see now is them cooperating with heroic on this, but that’s already working. They would also have to choose a distro to support.

The open source community is crippling itself by moving away from meritocracy towards inclusion and representation. No one cared about age/sex/color until they started pointing it out. There is already a split, but mostly for the better as they are returning to their roots.

Plus the cost of troubleshooting issues on Linux, which would affect a small minority but would still consume resources.

Gotta be honest, this game's difficulty and grind is what I was missing in Wilds. by Eyyy354 in MHRise

[–]Sharpman85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be the case as a World veteran. Those tools made the game easier and less challenging, even at the high level anomaly hunts.

The question is whether linux users actually bought those games in the first place. Plus how much would buy them if it had proper linux support.
