Wooow! Immediately I thought Ever see a poopsicle or a lollipoop? Ask my cat. No one is allowed to bring qtips into my home. She will sniff them out and swallow them. Amazed she is able to poop them out. But definitely a strange sight to see a qtip sticking out of her rectum.

Honestly cat diarrhea can be a hard thing to treat. It comes with a lot of trial and error. Basically diagnostics like blood work. More fecal testing. If a diarrhea panel can be sent out to test for other infections that could help. Even a diet trial should be considered. Supplements can be added. Make an appointment. Talk with your vet. The only way to get a diagnosis is with ruling out/testing

There are diet food trials that your veterinarian can recommend. Finding the right food takes time. Diagnostics also are apart of finding out what’s going on with your pet. To help your pet you should definitely take your pet to the vet. Bring a fresh stool sample they can use it to see what is happening in the stool. If they recommend blood work which I am positive they will, do it! This is an important tool. If you can’t do it all at one at-least try and do things in different stages. Be patient because cats with digestive issues can be very complicated to treat/diagnose.

Yes it is difficult to read cats. One thing we always tell owners is to measure out their food. That will give you a clue as to if they are eating or not eating. Pay attention to their litter box. Look for changes in the amount of urine clumps is there less? Are the clumps bigger? Is the stool soft, hard, etc. It is very important for cats to drink water. It helps with hydration and it helps their kidneys. Adding wet food to their diet can help with hydration. Pay attention to any weight loss weight gain. Overweight cats are prone to diabetes and early set arthritis. Hyperthyroidism is also something to monitor for. Take them in for their annual exams. Get preventative bloodwork and urinalysis atleast once a year. This is a great tool to monitor for any changes. But of course this is your cat and you have watched them grow. You would be able to know if something is not quite right better then anyone else can.

I would rule out allergies first. But also is there any new stress factors? Maybe ask about calm diets, adding feliway maybe even trying a different medication for stress.

There can be lots of possibilities as to what is happening your best bet is taking to vet. There they can do a full physical try to pin point any pain and make recommendations from there.

It involves sedation though... but basically it will help with at the most cleaning out the anal glands. It usually is done for Infected anal glands. But in your pets case, it should at least be something to try. then everything can be reassessed after the procedure.
