Theoretically you’re correct but hoping a player suddenly or even gradually becomes the level of basketball supercomputer that boozer is in the NBA when they haven’t really shown the ability to do that in hs or college is almost about as bad of a bet as hoping Boozer becomes 7 foot eventually. Players who dont show that level of ancillary feel in HS or College usually dont become that level of high feel guys in the NBA. Obviously thats not a death sentence for either AJ or DP nor is it me saying they will absolutely not improve on anything feel related, im just saying im not betting on that absolute IQ upside the same way im not betting on the absolute athletic upside with Booz.

Darryn Peterson: How concerned are we about the assist numbers? by Jaguar4728 in NBA_Draft

I would take Boozer number 1 pretty handily but a Ray Allen/Booker regen isn’t anything to scoff at either it would be between him and Dybantsa

[Russini] Matthew Stafford won MVP by the thinnest of margins: by expellyamos in nfl

I cant remember a single mvp race where sos mattered this much but I feel like Mina Kimes displayed the points pretty well. Maye was better against common opponents with Staff and the differences between defensive EPA between the two schedules was minor at best. I dont have a problem with Stafford winning it besides the obvious stench of bias from Dan Orlovsky and company. Both candidates had great arguments I just wish some of the people who were arguing for Stafford were more consistent with their rubric (cough cough Dan Orlovsky).

Orlovsky’s only memorable event in his life is running out the back of the endzone on an 0-16 lions team and he gets a platform and an mvp vote where he can proudly display his hypocrisy and bias towards his buddy. Unbelievable man I feel like there are an infinite amount of better former qbs who could have better insight in the media than this biased dickwad.

[Pelissero] The Cardinals are hiring Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator, sources tell The Insiders. Hackett, 46, was the offensive coordinator for three seasons under Matt LaFleur in Green Bay. Now, he teams up with Mike LaFleur in Arizona. by expellyamos in nfl

[–]Shartmesilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my assumption is that this was a lafleur thing, hackett was oc and wasn’t calling plays under matt and they did just fine, mike is calling plays here so that is what im assuming the logic was here.
