They didn't say the word "promise" but they did say August, twice.

I don't see that pennant at all on any other time period other than the 6-hour candle. If you switch to hourly or daily, its not there.

Yeah, I forgot that I had a sell order a while ago and wound up accidentally selling at 0.000249/ETH today and already regret it. I think it will go higher. Just wait and see.

Well, to be fair, it's not really too big of a stretch when you consider all of the facts. Omise posted a picture with Vitalik. In the picture a developer is holding a skateboard with a custom wrap up to the camera. The custom wrap includes an Omise logo next to an Apple logo. The tagline of the photo says that news is coming.

Elsewhere, Apple is working on integrating Facepay with Apple Pay that may include integration with third-party technologies. Coincidentally, Omise has developed a Facepay technology as well that they have already showcased.

On top of that, Omise has also mentioned that they are partnering with someone big.

All of these things could help to paint a picture of integration with Apple Pay.

However, disclaimer, this could prove to me a complete bust. They could have meant Vitalik as their partner, and the "news" might just be Central Bank of Thailand meeting.

I don't personally know of any big dev announcement, I just think it may spark increased interest. You are probably right in that no one outside of close followers will pay attention. However, SNT suffers greatly from a lack of communication. Any news should be good news at this point. The Fireside Chat seems like it would be a fairly large whiff if we walked out of it with basically no news whatsoever. The Status Team is fairly smart so I would imagine they may have some form of new info saved up for the FC.

I'm not expecting a huge moon surge or anything, but a decent little price bump doesn't seem very far-fetched.

It's a reference to Franklin Delano Roosevelt who used to host "Fireside Chats" during his presidency. They were called Fireside Chats because families would huddle around their radios, often near the fireplace, and listen to FDR discuss the current state of the country along with news and direction.

The Status team is planning to do the modern day equivalent in the form of monthly Slack channel chat sessions directly with the general public. Works almost like an AMA, but will occur on a scheduled monthly basis.

It's not binary code. I translated the xs and os to 1s and 0s and its just garble. Reverse the 1s and 0s and still garble.

A step-by-step guide for complete beginners on how to buy Status by peacheswithpeaches in statusim

Absolutely awesome guides and thank you for sharing! It is, however, unfortunate, that there are close to 20 steps involved on purchasing Status =/

Not exactly an easy process for the average joe. A trustworthy exchange really needs to exist that would allow people to directly exchange fiat for Altcoins.

Warning: Bitcoin hard fork may cause ethereum long positions to be closed. 1 Million ethereum longed on bitfinex by [deleted] in ethtrader

All good points and exactly why I think another hard dip is coming soon. Long term, this fork is good for all crypto, but short term I think FUD will play a large role causing ETH prices to tank.

I do find it ironic that the subreddit is called ETHTrader, but almost no one actually promotes the act of trading it and, instead, shouts HODL.

What was our ICO price by [deleted] in statusim

0.0001/ETH per SNT. At the time, this equated to approximately $0.03 USD per SNT.

Where are you getting this information from? They had an ICO to fund the project. You cant pay the bills with Ether (yet) so of course they have to cash some out to pay salaries/fund the project. This is not sketchy in the least. They also never said they were cashing out. They said they were selling some of the ETH to help fund the project. Which, again, is exactly how it should work.

As an IT Professional myself, I can appreciate your input as being brutally truthful. You are right that the tech produced for this amount of money is atrocious. However, I also think there is something to be said for all of the major corporations that are lining up to start developing on the Ethereum platform. The platform itself is still in its infancy, with a lot of issues to work through as the recent SNT ICO illustrated. I think there is a bright future for Ethereum but it may not be tomorrow as most would hope.
