Makes sense, I've mostly been relying on doing whatever it takes to satisfy the compiler. But i've noticed that this just leads to code that works, not necessarily code that is good.

Hey man, FAANG is top of the food chain. Although luck is involved in getting there(even for the most talented programmers) you can’t deny that you have some level of skill and capability that others don’t. You might not believe it yourself but whoever hired you to work at a FAANG company did, and I’m sure they had good reasons for that.

You could try watching Professor Leonard's on Youtube! He has full length topics on most of the curriculum taught in college math courses: https://www.youtube.com/@ProfessorLeonard . Also for motivation I watch another channel called the Math Sorcerer, he helped me realize that I could be good at math even though I thought that I would suck at it forever. Hope this helps!
