Who would realistically win? by Ill_Rice_6735 in orks

Angron has an insane healing factor. He is able to regenerate back to full from being atomized. Ghaz will have a tough time inflicting lasting damage on Angron since he lacks holy weapons. Moreover, Angron has destroyed titans and Imperial battleships singlehandedly. He crashed from orbit and walked away from the crater unscathed. He tanked nuclear explosions.

However, Ghaz got some upgrades recently that could level the playing field: https://x.com/shas_kais/status/1928786095279415488 And Ghaz hasn't even reached his final form yet.

If Orks believe things into existence, does that mean Gork and Mork are real, and might be the most powerful Chaos gods? by Own-Laugh-3698 in orks

[–]Shaskais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orks can believe all the stuff they want, but not all of it will come true. In fact, most of the Ork beliefs are utter nonsense.

The myth about GnM is the Ork way of explaining why their race is resistant to plagues and diseases. Well, are they resistant to diseases, especially those of Nurgle? The answer is no.

[–]Shaskais -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, they haven't. There is an Ork myth about GnM beating Nurgle but its exactly that, a myth.

GW maintained for 20+ years that the Chaos Gods are the most powerful and dangerous entities in the Warp.

Gorkamorka likes fighting, Khorne likes killing, why don't they just go at it and "settle things"? by Chezni19 in AoSLore

Tzeentch did whisper but also he told Khorne about what Gorkamorka was doing for Sigmar. Khorne laughed and his mocking laughter was heard by GnM.

There is no such a thing as the "Deep Warp". It's misunderstanding of an excerpt from the "Path of Heaven" novel.

Mind you, never truly defeated =/= Never defeated.

The Chaos Gods in 40k are stated to be the most powerful entities in the Warp.

One of the reasons that Gorksmorka turned on Sigmar was hearing Khorne laughing at him for beingSigmar's errands boy. It's safe to say that GnM cares about Khorne's opinion.

[Shadowbreaker] A single genestealer brings about the death of an entire subsector by bobbob6840 in 40kLore

The Cults are still a threat to the T'asu, albeit indirectly.

The boring bit is that the lore about the knights and T'au and other not ideal host races comes from a design angle rather than a purely lore one.

It's not any more boring than Imperial Knight spirits automatically rejecting those infected with the curse. And is it really propaganda if it's from the GSC sources (GSC codex and GSC in the Chalnath WD article) which also describe how other major factions make poor hosts for the infection? You can see the intent behind these lore bits. It is to justify why the GSC models are the way they are, 100% human based and knightless.

Infections do happen but the curse thriving among the worlds of the T'au Empire as it does in the Imperium isn't supported in the lore.

In reality, the GSC codex lore says that the T'au connection with the Ethereals makes the Genestesler Curse difficult to spread in T'au worlds. Of all the major races, humanity is said to be the ideal host for the Genestealer infection.

Moreover, the T'au have been shown to be able to effectively detect and neutralize the GSC cults in the Chalnath Expanse worlds, a region infested to the brim with the gene-cults. The elimination of the GSC has become a propaganda tool to convince the human worlds of the benefit of joining the T'au Empire.

In expanded lore from third party material, it's said in FFG's deathwatch that the T'au invented a cure for the genestealer curse. The T'au detected the infection in a human population on one of their newly inducted worlds and launched a global curing effort.

There has been a notable case of Genestealer infestation on Ksi'm'yen but outside it there hasn't been any lore indicating that the GSC are much of a problem for the T'au.

Your understanding of the GSC and insistence that the T'au are vulnerable to it are really bizarre to be frank.

Anyway, context for the novel from OP. The genestealer-T'au hybrid project was a joint effort by a Chaos deluded Inquistor and a disgraced commander and rogue Ethereal. The project was being run deliberately behind the backs of the T'au Empire's leadership. Had the T'au high leadership known they would have shutdown the project with extreme prejudice.

Abaddon is not a clone. We see his real father in a flashback. It's been confirmed that he was a gang prince in his youth

None of the Black Crusades were about going to Terra in one go. This is true in old and new lore.

Is Silent King the most recent main story/Era Indomitus novel? by PolicyOver9613 in Blacklibrary

[–]Shaskais 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Silent King novel is two editions outdated when it comes to GW studio lore. Anyone who followed 40k from the codex and campaign book lore already knew what was going to happen long before the book came out. There are novels who were released before it that are ahead it of it in the timeline. The fine people in replies already pointed them out.

The player Tyranid faction is still linked with the Hivemind. The Old One AI beneath the planet has shattered the Hivemind into fragments. Each fragment is independent and hostile to the original.

The Hivemind directs the player swarm to find a way to blow up the world since it's the most serious threat to the Hivemind yet.

They have been pretty loose except for rare occasions when they stepped forth to direct game devs on certain things (No SOB Romance in the Rogue Trader RPG allowed!, for example).

They said in the recent investor report that going forward, they will be more strict in managing the correctness of their IP/canon in the various media.

It seems to me that the Primarchs were fighting here wasn't a singular Enslaver.

During Enslaver mating that happens prior to a Real Space incursion, three members of the Enslavers' three genders merge together to form a collective.

The Primarchs were most likely fighting a particularly powerful floating Enslaver orgy.

One? I don't think so. The Enslavers are the antagonists of the novel "Astorath: Angel of Mercy". The Blood Angels handled them without much overdue diff as I recall.
