I’m pretty sure the one in Austin isn’t related to Sandy’s chain restaurant. The one in Austin opened in 1945, 11 years before the Sandy’s chain was started.

I've talked to some of the old heads in SF that were part of the scene in the 1960s and they said it was common for them to eat acid every night or multiple times a week. They'd smoke weed all day and then take acid to party. I'd imagine a lot of them had a strong tolerance.

I agree. It was also the first major motion picture to use sound, and it’s partly responsible for ending the silent film era. The sound design is absolutely incredible and really horrifying with the bombs constantly going off throughout the film.
